Dr. Nyree Padilla, MD

I had a sore throat in November 2022. I logged into CloseKnit to see if they could help. She said they required a video chat to help with my sore throat. Before accepting I asked "How much does a video chat cost?" I knew that if it was going to cost what it would to go to a doctor in person I would do that instead. She came back and said "New Patient Focused Visit Cost Estimate Info ID # [redacted] PPO (BlueChoice) Covered at 100% Cost Estimate $0." Because it was explicitly written to me it was free, I accepted the appointment. It could not have been more of a waste of time. The doctor made me stand in different areas and lighting and try to hold the phone at an angle that she could see the back of my throat. She told me she couldn't see anything and even went so far as to ask if I was sure that I didn't have my tonsils removed. I am very sure I have never had them removed. She said since she couldn't see my throat she couldn't tell me she couldn't diagnose strep (for example). The… idea that anyone could inspect the back of a throat through a video chat on a cell phone is silly. Then I got a bill for it!!

Worse doctor on TeleMed. Barely listened to my complaints, wasted my time, and was more concerned I had covid when I had none of the signs. Went to urgent care the next day due to waking up with laryngitis - had told Padilla of inflamed lymph nodes and pain which she refused to acknowledge. Save your money!!!

She is a waste of time. Don't waste yours. Choose a different doctor.

Did not listen. Did not care. Waste of time and money. Should not be practicing medicine.

I liked her from the moment she entered the room. She was friendly, introduced herself and was caring about my condition. I know my Mom and Husband will like her too. Thank you, Dr.
