Dr. Oana Nisipeanu, MD

Before this doctor I had been seeing my very good doctor for some 12-15 years, but his office - although always friendly - -ALWAYS mixed up and confused billing and submitted the wrong codes even for a simple annual preventative check-up, and I had to waste my time and energy clarifying and fixing the bills - very frustrating and and discouraging experience, so, I got fed up with that and started looking for a new doctor, and I was in for a great eye-opener: NO DOCTORS!.. I mean there are plenty, but... they either do not accept new patients or/and have bad reviews/ratings, and the OK-rated NP (nurse practitioners) or PA (physician assistants) are far from me (Chicago or distant suburbs) - disastrous health care situation. I finally narrowed my exhaustive search to some 4-5 relatively local doctors, and I started from Dr. O. Nisipeanu and made an appointment. I finally saw this doctor and was really-really impressed. 1. She showed no arrogance (which I encountered with some other… doctors in the past), down-to-Earth simple talk, very friendly person. 2. She sounded very knowledgeable, explained her take/opinion on all issues/questions I raised/asked, and gave her recommendations. 3. I asked about billing (esp. on Medicare that does not cover regular private insurance/employer insurance coding), and she was very well-informed about that (unlike my previous office) and she told me how she was coding my visit and tests). 4. Her nurse, Lupe, was so much above the normally expected nurse/assistant; she recorded all my health details and talked with me like a friend, not just a nurse, and then, at the end... she gave me a hug. Such a sweet person! All-in-all, I am very happy I found this doctor and her staff.

My 1st visit, she was super fast, but did snap at me and the front desk gave me someone elses orders, that was with me for 3 weeks? before I caught it, and thr referal foot Dr she gave me, just wouldnt call me back. 2nd visit, took my son to be seen by her, and myself, 2.5 hrs later, we were seen but I did see she was taking people behind me, before us. This time, her nurse suggests I see the foot Dr in her office, ther next morning and I was given orders again. The foot Dr had me in abd out in 10 min, said he belives surgery is needed, sent me fir xrays...the whole visit was less tine than Dr visit number 2 and at 6pm, Dr Caronis said, yes, surgury...I kust think about about those wasted months, for I could be recovered, as of now When I went back to her office, that she shares with Dr Caronis, this time, even with me writing down all of my illnesses, to be placed on order, not everything was added, she gave me the wrong dose of RX, even when I wrote 40 mg, she gave me 20mg, sent… my mamogram order to Vista sleep lab vs the correct person... So, I wrote the office, for they do not answer directly....because all of this, started on 10.9.18, my very 1st appointment with her. With everything that has occurred, to say I am extremly overwhelmed by her office, and I really dont know if we will keep her as my primary, and my sons, after all, is an understatement Dr Caronis.....HIGHLY suggest. Very knowledgeable, kind wants his patients to be very informed. I may have seen Dr Nisipeanu 1 more time, after Dr Caronis, but if I did, it was an unrememorable experience, which is to say, it defiantly wasnt like the other appointments...a thumbs up

When i first moved here i looked for a Great Doctor. One that took the time, not only to listen, but to explain things. One that cares. I found that in Dr. Nisi, along with her Nurses, and office staff. All go out of there way to help you in anyway they can. Waiting times in the office are almost non existence, maybe 10 minutes at most. Dr Nisi and staff are very knowledgeable, caring, and hardworking TEAM. Thank you Dr Nisi and staff. Robert B
