Dr. Ofer Levy, MD, PhD

Ofer Levy, MD, PhD, is director of the Precision Vaccines Program and a senior physician in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Boston Children’s Hospital, as well as a professor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. He is an internationally recognized pediatric infectious disease specialist and physician-scientist whose work focuses on vaccinology, innate immunity, precision medicine, and the development of vaccines tailored for vulnerable populations such as newborns, older adults, and immunocompromised patients. Dr. Levy earned both his MD and PhD from New York University and completed his internship, residency, and fellowship training in pediatric infectious diseases at Boston Children’s Hospital. His pioneering research integrates systems biology, immunology, and translational medicine to improve vaccine safety and effectiveness, and he has led groundbreaking work in next-generation vaccine development through the Precision Vaccines Program.
