Dr. Okan Elidemir, MD

I am not typically the type to write reviews unless they are positive. However, If this reaches a parent looking for answers from Dr. Okan Elidemir, I am inclined to share my extremely negative experience. Dr. Okan Elidemir came into the room with a thought in his mind of what my child was experiencing (which is fine), but he seemed so set in this thought that he did not even take the time to examine her. When I raised concerns from a video I showed him of my child struggling to breathe and wheezing, he was very dismissive and claimed it had nothing to do with her lungs, as he had been doing since he walked in the door. He then asked me if she was my first child and reminded me he had been doing this for 37 years, again being extremely dismissive. I thought he was disrespectful, not thorough, and did not care to dig deeper into my concerns for my child. The administrative part of this Nemours children's health is fantastic! However, as for Dr. Okan Elidemir's bedside manner,… unwillingness to hear me, and degrading comments, I highly suggest seeing a different pulmonologist.

Reviews were accurate no bedside manner very rude. He states in his video on the office webpage that parents know children best and he listens. He does not listen. As a parent, when I asked for further testing, because I felt like it was something deeper than what he was suggesting he refused abruptly, put his hand down on the desk, and said we are finished and walked out of the door, not directing us to the exit or anything

We were very impressed with this doctor. He spent plenty of time to understand what was wrong with my daughter. Explained to us what was going on and what to expect in the future. I would highly recommend him if your child has lung problems.

Excellent experience

Dr.Elidemir was fantastic. He truly cared. My daughter has been coughing for months and nobody could stop it. The day after Dr.E saw us and treated her the cough was gone. He is a very kind doctor, good with kids. I recommend him to everybody.

Dr. Elidemir was very pleasant and thorough. He spent a lot of time to understand what was wrong with my child. He diagnosed his problem and treated him properly. The cough is gone within a few days and my son can run freely. We could not be more pleased.

We waited a while for the appointment and then he comes in and sees us for all of maybe 5 minutes and had no interest in getting to the bottom of the cause for the asthma. He just told me to keep doing what I was doing and come back to see him. My son was sick at the time of the visit and no med changes or additions to account for that so we wound up at urgent care 2 days later and he was put on steroids to clear it up.

Very unhappy with visit. Came in as a referral from my son's primary doctor and was only seen for about 3 minutes. All Dr. Elidemir did was listen to him breath with his stethoscope and said just keep doing what you are doing and come back and see me in 4 months. The fee for this garbage was $704!!!! He did no other tests and did not ask any questions about his condition. I am absolutely appalled and very disappointed with Neumors for hiring this doctor.
