Dr. Oksana Hamidi, DO

I was severely harmed at the hands of this doctor. I have refractory hypothyroidism but she insisted otherwise. Her stubborn obstinate attitude towards her patients is incredibly harmful. I clearly remember having been her patient for more than six months when she was shocked that I was taking combination therapy T4 and T3. This was because this whole time my primary care provider had been writing my thyroid hormone scripts. She never even knew which thyroid hormones I was being prescribed. Once she found out that I was on combination therapy which is levothyroxine (T4) combined with liothyronine (T3) for more than 8 years she immediately became very cross with me. She is the type of endocrinologist who believes that liothyronine harms patients. Combination therapy doesn't harm patients, endocrinologists relying on decades old publications harm patients. She is so proud. Every time I would present her with actual published research or second opinions which contradicted her she would… immediately become very defensive. Refractory hypothyroidism is a very rare condition, its not easy to diagnose and treat. This one size fits all approach to thyroid hormones is INCREDIBLY HARMFUL to patients. I would strongly warn against working with this provider.
