Dr. Oksana I Strunets, MD

I am 84 years old. I was hospitalized with pneumonia, sepsis and bronchitis on Tuesday. Saturday I was discharged. My prescriptions were sent to the pharmacy in the hospital. The problem was that the pharmacy was closed when I was discharged. They sent the script for the nebulizer to the pharmacy not home health. I couldn’t get my antibiotic or the meds for the nebulizer treatments I also couldn’t get the machine. Aurora home health couldn’t get the nebulizer until they had the script and their warehouse isn’t open on Sunday. I’m supposed to get that treatment four times a day. Therefore, I missed one treatment on Saturday and four today and they’re not sure when I’ll get it tomorrow. Thank God I have inhalers so I might be able to get by. Otherwise it’s another trip to the ER and exposure to whatever germs are floating around in the waiting room. The Doctor and the nurse that discharged me didn’t think about the fact that I won’t have access to the meds and medical treatment that I… would need when I get home. Hospitalist’s don’t care about people just the money. I’m so disgusted with Aurora, this Doctor and the nurse that discharged me.

I would like to thank this Doctor for her kindness and attentiveness. She was my primary doctor for 3 years and I always knew that could get help at any time. I wish her all the best in her new position. I will miss her very much.

She's listens well, but wants to push her treatment decision on me. Occasional language barrier. Explains things well, Fairly easy to get a hold of through email but difficult to get a quick appointment. Doesn't seem to do much, always refering me to other specialists. Has been my doctor for two years but maybe for too much longer!

A very good doctor. She is patient, caring, and takes the time to explain diagnosis and symptoms, when other doctors get you in and out quickly. She lets you be a part of the treatment decision and doesn't force treatment or procedures on you if you don't want them. She will go out of her way to find out somthing if she doesn't know the information herself. She spends time with you when needed and answers your questions. Very professional with a great bedside manner. Easy to get a hold off if needed. She's the kind of doctor who listens well and respects patient autonomy. Highly Recommended!

Completely unprofessional and lacked communication skills to address and diagnose issue. Would NEVER go back to her again.

Very kind and attentive doctor, takes her time to listen and understand my concerns. Two of my friends also use her and fond of Dr. Strunets very much. I also was treated by her husband in the hospital and his is excellent and approachable doctor. I recommend both of them very much.
