Dr. Olakunle David Ajanaku, MD

My previous doctor had just died and his staff had no other physicians to refer his Suboxone patients to, so I had to find another one myself. I found this guy online and he tried to milk me out of every last penny by insisting that I come in weekly to be "stabilized" even though I told him up front that I had just gotten laid off and was losing my company insurance in just a few days and had the records to prove that I had been on the same dosage for years. I practically begged him to write me a month's supply at least until my new insurance kicked in. I gave him my true hardship story and asked him to work with me but he refused. I ended up taking his one week's supply and ended up having to go to a Methadone/Suboxone clinic every day to get my meds and it cost about the same as this clown but at least they let me pay for my meds daily. I finally got new insurance and a new doc and I'm fine ... absolutely NO THANKS to Olakujaneej and his rude staff!

I have been a patient for years and there is NO turnover. Same nurse for years and years. The doctor himself is extremely efficient, compassionate and humble. Only doctor of the 20 I've visited over 20 years that takes the time to listen, ask probing questions and is very patient.

Listened to my whole story.Thourghly examined&questioned me to obtain info pertinant to my condition.Answers&explains all questions.Recommends any testing needed, while considering your hardships of cost.I've nothing but good things to say about this human being.I love him.If not for this man and his concern/caring for me,,I seriously believe that I would be on disability and unable to work and/or hold a fulltime job.Without a doubt,,Dr. Ajanaku is one of the BEST !!

Dr. Ajanaku and his staff are among the most unprofessional staff I have ever encountered. As a chronic pain patient who has been going to doctors for a long time now- that is saying alot. He has a HUGE turn over in office staff, some are polite and some are extremely rude. Dr. Ajanaku himself does not understand how insurance works and tried (sometimes successfully) to charge patients for things they are not responsible for. As for his bedside manner- it needs work. His strengths are his willingness to listen to your complaints and adjust medication accordingly. He will not let you be in pain just because a particular week or month your body requires more. I appreciated that about him more than words can say. Now, having said that...if he "thinks" you owe money because he does not understand how insurance works then you WILL NOT get any medication even if you end up in the emergency room because of severe withdraws.
