Dr. Ole Andrew Heggeness, DO

Arrived, was greeted with warmth immediately by staff. Little to no wait time. Staff was friendly patient and kind to my Spanish speaking mother. Dr. H, very informative, knowledgeable with both my parents medical history, as I had not attended an appointment in over a year. He was forthcoming with bringing me up to speed. He was patient in answering all my questions, without being annoyed by them. Explained in a way i could understand condition, prognosis, and treatment. He does talk very fast, bust if you ask him to slow down he will try. He is direct and to the point, does not sugar coat thing and I Love that. I do not expect a doctor to get emotionally attached as I am sure they see so much, so yes I do appreciate his directness with sensitivity. if you can not understand this concept you may misunderstand his style as lack of bedside manner, but I assure you this is not the case. Good listener and seems reasonable. Overall it was a positive and productive appointment, he… worked well with me. Thank you

I called to schedule an appointment and VERIFIED that this doctor could prescribe my medication (which was prescribed by my previous physician, I just was moving and needed a new one). The office stated that he would. I had to verify bc it is a controlled substance and some doctors just dont want to deal with this. So I drive an hour just for him to show up late and be very rude and say "I just don't prescribe this." I said I was about to run out and that I would be in serious trouble. I asked for just one more prescription refill because it is super hard to get appointments with doctors right now because of COVID, and he said that he could not help me. Even though he could, he just didn't want to and clearly was carrying some sort of bias. I waited for this appointment when I could have gotten a doctor who could have helped me. Now I am screwed and he would not even apologize even after his office had confirmed that he could prescribe this... Some doctors really just in it for the… money and this is definitely one of those doctors. They don't care about human beings. Do yourself a massive favor and find a doctor that will actually be kind and respectful...

The reason I say "Best ever" is because I am 81 years old and have not had as caring a physician in my adult life. He does not over book patients, he takes time to spend with each patient, phones my home with results from all special tests he ordered for me, even my blood work. His office even called this week (virus outbreak) asking "How are you doing?" I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Heggeness as a doctor. Peggy

I am one of those people were I rarely will take the time to fill out one of these questionnaires, but in this instance I feel that I have had great doctor patient relationship and have always been more than satisfied with the treatment and advise given by Dr Heggeness and would recommend him to everyone.

Dr. Heggeness is good, but his staff at the front desk is so unprofessional. Yesterday was the 2nd time I have called in to make an appointment & I have left a message on their answering service & with their answering machine within 24 hours & I do not receive a call back, I just have to keep calling until I reach someone, but once on the phone, its as if they are being bothered.

DR. HEGGENESS Bedside manners are excellent! Always makes sure to answer all my questions and explains every thing in plain English. I Always receive a call back with all my results from him or the nurse in a timely matter. Easy to schedule appointments and staff is amazing. Refills on my maintenance medications with in 24 hrs.

Great Dr. Very personable, very smart and rational. He actually listens! He has a humble likable character with great medical skills.
