Our initial visit with Dr. Sherrod was smooth and seemingly very informative. However we later found out that the doctor neglected to share with us all options for testing. She only presented the most invasive option and did not suggest the less invasive testing option until the first test was found to be negative. She justified this decision stating there was no need for the test when in actuality the test would not verify a current diagnosis but would state whether our son had the genetic marker for the condition. My issue is that parents/patients should be provided with all information. Before the invasive procedure we asked what would be the next steps if the results were negative. Never was this second test mentioned. In fact the tests that were mentioned are now tests she doesnâ??t seem to think are worth it. Interestingly everything she has suggested are the highest costs procedures. We have decided to seek a second opinion and work with a different doctor. In addition to… the doctor being inconsistent in her information, her nurse was rude and would share incorrect information. In fact, we were provided our sons test results and not until a week later were we told there was one more test that came back. How do you not share with the parents that all test results have not been received. We stated our concerns and frustrations but never received an apology. Some physicians have egoâ??s the size of Mt. Kilimanjaro and it impedes their ability to be respectful of their patients time and money.

Para un padre, tanto como para el paciente en este caso un niño es difícil pasar por la incertidumbre de una enfermedad, pienso que es en ese momento donde el personal de salud en este caso el MD y su equipo juegan un papel importante en el apoyo de sus pacientes. Somos seres humanos tratando con seres humanos!. No vi ni un poquito de interés por mi hija y su caso es más después de los exámenes y la primera cita no me volvieron a llamar para los resultados y saber que seguia...tratar de comunicarse con ellos es cosa de locos, siempre hay que dejar mensajes....hace 1 mes y medio estoy esperando que me contacten. El personal no es cordial, cara de pocos amigos, al igual que la Dra. Y eso que tratan con niños. Al final pregunta tiene alguna duda?...créanme como padre me sentí intimidada después de haber estado en una consulta tan fria, como para hacer una pregunta. ð???

My son has been a patient of Dr. Sherrod's for several years. She is absolutely wonderful. She spends quality time with us and is always receptive to the information we give to her. My son has several ongoing medical problems and she has been a part of improving his quality of life. We would not want another gi doctor.

Stay away from this doctor if you are looking for a caring and compassionate doctor. I took my son to see this doctor because he was vomiting. The doctor ordered a mri to check for tumors then later cancelled the mri to request a ct scan. After going home to think about it and doing some research. I was not comfortable with the procedure and called the office back to speak to the doctor. However the DOCTOR. was too busy to take my call. I spoke to the doctor's nurse and expressed my concerns to see if they could perform some other test or do blood work. Needless to say the doctor's nurse Rubi called me back and and said and I quote. " The doctor said she is toooo busy to call you back and she has a meeting after seeing her other customers. It's been a week and Dr. still hasn't called me back. I have NEVER EVER met a supposed Doctor who is too busy to call a concerned parent back.

It takes 2 months or more to get an appointment, when you or your child is in constant pain it is a pain to get any help! All she cares about is MONEY, be warned. She did an endoscopy on me when a barium swallow would have gotten the same information, the price difference is over 1,000$ and not in my favor. And with all the money spent, my problem still isn't fixed, I had to find a surgeon myself who would help.

Terrible bedside manner, when we did not agree to start medicine right away. Staff was horrible , gave me wrong diagnosis over phone, and had to repeatly call them to find out when to lower sons steriod.

She was more concerned about how much she can make than actually providing any care. Stay away if you really care about your little ones...
