Dr. Olga Yevseevna Brooks, MD

I visited Dr. Brooks once to establish a new Primary Care Physician as I had recently moved back to the Charlotte area from out of state. As soon as she entered the room, she was rude, dismissive, and condescending. She immediately began interrogating my medical history, specifically my ADHD that had been diagnosed by both my previous therapist and my previous PCP. She asked "how I knew" that I "actually" had ADHD and whether or not I got "good grades" in school, as if that was any kind of indication as to whether or not I had a medically diagnosed disorder. Then, when taking my vitals, she physically pushed my shoulders down while making comments about how bad my posture was. Absolutely no bedside manner, the worst doctor's appointment I've ever had. When I requested to see a different doctor accepting new patients at the practice, she dismissed me from the practice altogether without reason. Super disappointing, as everyone else at the practice (front desk, nurses, etc.) seemed… nice.

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Brooks: 1) During my 1st visit, she spent with me just about 5 minutes at all and she spoke with me arrogant and disrespectful. She just left fast - even not asking me have I any more questions or not - and then only a nurse handed me the prescriptions. 2) She prescribed me ointment-antibiotic and nasal spray for my nose irritation that not helped and even made my nose irritation worse and rash added. The same thing was with tablets that she prescribed me against my allergies. It didn't help me. It should be noted that I took the medication exactly as the doctor prescribed. 3) When in 5 days after I started to take these medicines I called the clinic and described my symptoms about worse my nose irritation and rash and not helping tablets for my allergies - Dr. Brooks prescribed me Clindamycin capsules which is a strong antibiotic which can cause many side effects. 4) I sent the message to the clinic with 2 simple questions - one of them was… about the recommendation of any alternative medicaments for my nose. 5) The response of Dr. Brooks was definitely impolite and disappointed me - it was started from the following phrase: "Please let him know that if he feels he knows what to do he can do that without calling me here..." So I will look for a more polite and professional doctor who has enough time for a patient's questions and who really cares about a patient's health.

After being diagnosed with stage IV cancer we came to Dr. Brooks looking for a good primary care doctor. We asked for hospital bed and a few other things to help recover after the surgery and during chemo cycles. However she was very dismissive and unhelpful. Also Dr. Brooks would not put prescriptions to pharmacy which would delay taking medications needed during and after cycles. After a few months of dealing with Dr. Brooks we switched to a different doctor who was able to assist with all of our the needs within 3 days.

Dr. Brooks spends time with you, makes you feel valued and does not stare at a screen typing while pretending to listen, like other doctors tend to do. I trust her and feel safe in her hands.

Horrible physician, one of the worst that I have had the unfortunate experience with. Very rude, offensive and unprofessional. I would never recommend this physician to anyone. I am surprised that this physician is allowed to practice medicine

Dr. Brooks is stern and no non sense when it comes to my health. She listen to what concerns I have and order tests to rule out anything serious. She takes care of my physical and my mental by putting my mind at ease if I think something is wrong. I have put my trust in her and let her do her job. I have degrees but none of them are medical so I leave my care in her hands and I have never had an issue. Thank you Dr. Brooks!

The biggest shock was doctor's attitude towards me. Dr.Brooks was arrogant and intimidating which is unacceptable for the primary care physician. Her so called "Southern charm" is a joke. I will not go into details, but her diagnosis was wrong, she urged me to buy expensive drugs which I didn't need, she reluctantly discussed the results of laboratory tests and didn't seem interested in my health issues. But the worst thing is that she was rude and disrespectful and this attitude made me feel uncomfortable and frustrated. Doctors like Olga Brooks compromise the whole practice and influence negatively on the reputation of the HealthCare system they represent.

I have been going to Dr Brooks for years for my physical . Thought she was okay. But when she found an issue with my health this year, she was unbelievably thorough. She gave me meds but when I had fever after taking meds for few days, she insisted on seeing me to determine what's causing it. She gave me new meds that were super effective it tarted my symptom right away. Her sense of urgency and thoroughness is remarkable. I'll stay with her for many mere years to come.

It's funny how patients really don't care that they could potentially damage a physicians career by making such bogus bad reviews. Dr Brooks isn't the type of Doctor that will tell you what you want to hear. Instead, Dr Brooks is the type of Doctor that will tell you what is Best for your health! She may live in the South and be full of Southern charm, but when it comes to your health she is all business. She is excellent at what she does and doesn't deserve to be accussed of anything else. Hey, if you don't like her, save her a headache and don't go back.

Dr. Brooks does not listen. When I am trying to describe a problem she talks louder and louder to speak over top of what I am saying. I had to verbally argue with her to get tests for a diagnosis. I was sick and she kept telling me I was fine. She gets upset if I ask to see blood results and refuses to give them to me. I have been sick now for a month but I am not allowed to switch doctors and I dread going to her office.
