Dr. Olga A. Katz, MD

We saw Dr Katz in her office. My husband had a traumatic brain injury. She stated we will do some studies, she would look up past studies to be sure we aren’t repeating previously ordered scans and get an EEG. When we got to the front desk there were 3 medications waiting along with the studies she was going to look up. We asked what they were for and stated she told us about meds. Dr Katz stood in the hallway telling the front desk girl she would not see us and she explained everything in the visit! She refused to give us any explanation on the meds. By the way I recorded the entire conversation with no mention of meds ! We contacted my husbands neurologist and she reached out to Dr Katz to see if she could explain the meds. The next thing I knew was my husband was discharged because he was questioning serious medications with multiple side effects! Our experience was upsetting that she would get offended if someone questions her plan. We just wanted the studies done and wanted to… wait on the meds till we received the results. I felt as though she was too good to be bothered with anything after she gave us 15 min of her time! I’m happy she discharged him we would never go back to someone that can not communicate!

Dr. Katz is a skilled physician who is competent with dealing with complicated cases. Her appointments are quick - in and out - so the paitient has to come prepared to ask questions. The receptionist is extremely rude and incompetent as others have noted. Unfortunately it reflects poorly on the practice. If you can tolerate the receptionist’s behavior, Dr. Katz is one of the best Jefferson neurologists.

Dr. Katz is a great doctor. She identified my problems almost immediately. She provides compassionate care for my neoro issues and suggested I seek the help of other skilled doctors for testing in areas she does not treat. Because of her excellent diagnostic skills my issues were detected early. I cant thank her enough. Shes the best.

Horrible. Run. Zero bedside manner or compassion for a serious condition.

Some staff is pleasant, some staff is rude,. But I guess you need to take the good with the bad. But Now I get a bill in the mail for services I paid for? What the hec is going on?

Can not get this doctor to call you back. I think she thinks she is the Wizard of Oz Terrible that you have to tell your private information to the front desk girl. By the way who is alway eating at her desk when you check in.

NeuroOpthamologists wrongly identified my vision problem. I took it upon myself to look further. Dr Katz suspected and ordered tests to confirm the diagnosis on the first visit

Very hard to understand. Extremely thick accent. While she speaks english, I only understood about one word in ten.

Great doctor but she might have the most ignorant office staff I have ever dealt with. Unfortunately, because of them I will be finding another doctor who can treat me.

Dr. Katz was very thorough, ran many tests. Unfortunately, she was unable to treat me for my condition...meds did not work. She referred me to a neurophyschologist who was able to diagnose my cognitive impairments so I was not forced to go back to work. I thought Dr. Katz did everything she could have done and was on track with referring me elsewhere. I thank her for her help. As far as the way the office was run, many times when I called the office, it went to voicemail. It was difficult to talk to someone and they need better communication. I would recommend her, but she needs to have a better office procedure. Her staff was very nice.
