When he was dx at stage 4 with an extremely rare (affects just ONE in FIVE MILLION people/annually worldwide) form of liver cancer, Dr Kozyreva treated my son with urgency and hope you'd expect for an otherwise healthy young man. This is after all other Boston specialists gave him just months to live. She treated him as though he were family, and did not give up on us when all others turned him away as hopeless and said he had only months to live. We were incredibly fortunate to land in her care as she and her team left no questions or treatment options off the table as we and many others tried to beat the clock to find any cure. I would highly recommend her not just for her unique specialty area (blood cancer) as she is someone you WANT in your corner going to bat for you. He did so well that many others with this horrible cancer have also reached out to her for help. Like most others with S4, he passed away almost 3 yrs after his diagnosis with many twists and turns along the way… including lengthy surgery and procedures and chemo for almost two years but his courage and strength were unyielding--mainly due to Olgas positive nature. I'd encourage any and all to reach out to her without any hesitation for their care, no matter how dire the situtation seems. Love, AMcDonough
