Dr. Olga M Morozova, MD

Dr. Morozova is professional, compassionate, and attentive to her patients. My daughter saw Dr. Morozova to assist in her physical rehabilitation from a stroke. The staff and Dr. Morozova made my daughter and our family feel like we had their undivided attention, answered every question we had and treated my toddler like she was the most important child . I am grateful for the expertise provided and kindness we were shown. After two years of countless doctor appointments this was by far the best treatment we have ever received!

I scheduled my day around an appointment at 4pm with Dr. Morozova, leaving work at 2pm to drive from Alexandria to Dumfries to pick up my daughter and then to Fairfax for the appointment. I arrived at their old office and spent several minutes looking for Dr Morozova's name on the directory. When I couldn't find it, I walked into the pediatric office and the office staff handed me directions to the new office. There was a large stack of directions, so this must happen a lot. I called at 4:02 to let them know that I was driving across the street to the new office. I was transferred to Dr. Morozova's nurse immediately. She put me on hold while she waited for the doctor to finish up with her patient. By the time the nurse got back on the line, it was 4:12 and I was walking toward the office. (Clearly, the doctor was running late.) She said that we would not be seen. I explained that I had driven 100 miles (after I mapquested, it was "only" 57 miles, but still 2 hours) and would… like to personally explain that to the doctor. She refused to budge or even speak to us. I showed up anyway. After lots of whispering at the reception desk between nurses and other staff members, 2 women came to talk to me and asked if I needed to reschedule. I told them that I would not be rescheduling, but I would like to wait to see the doctor. Again, she would not come out. When they got snarky and asked if I got an appointment reminder, I decided it was time to go. I did my best to get there early. If she was with a patient until 4:12, I did not throw off her schedule. She just wanted to get out of there as fast as possible. Nobody was in the waiting room, so I did not throw off any later appointments. I left my youngest daughter at daycare in Alexandria (again, trying to be respectful of the doctor) and had to drive from Fairfax to Alexandria to Dumfries at 4:20. We arrived home at 7:20. I wasted 5 hours and 20 minutes for this appointment. I also lost 2 hours of pay, gas mileage, and overtime childcare. It's not just the lost time that I'm upset about. I work with special needs kids and knowing how fast something can turn for the worse, I would NEVER turn away a child. I was bringing my 5 year old in to figure out why she has hypotonia. There are several very scary diagnoses that cause hypotonia and the fact that a child was not seen is unacceptable. This doctor is uncaring and I would not recommend her to anyone.
