Dr. Olga L Ortuzar

Our children have been seeing Dr. Ortuzar for the past 15 plus years. She is OUTSTANDING!! In fact, nearly every friend, neighbor, and knowledgeable and educated person takes their children to Dr. Ortuzar. She is the absolute BEST! Dr. Ortuzar treats the "whole child" and is absolutely one of the most nurturing and caring providers we have ever come across. She always provides spot on clinic expertise but also has cared about her patients as they grow and shows interest in them at their different stages of life. Her office staff are so friendly, nice, efficient and caring. They are highly trained and demonstrate professionalism in all aspects of their work. Dr. Ortuzar has made excellent referrals to other dental specialists as needed and communicates extremely well with the consulted providers. We feel so fortunate to have Dr. Ortuzar, one of the most well known and clinically competent in the world, providing dental care in our local area. Thank you to Dr. Ortuzar and all… the staff at Children's Dental Center. You are the absolute best!

If you are looking for a dentist who is caring, compassionate, empathetic, patient, and has at least a decent chair-side manner, go somewhere else! I have encountered many people who have also seen Dr. Ortuzar for dental work, and they left for the exact same reasons! She doesn't have the skills to work with children in a professional setting. I have heard stories from people I know personally of her pulling people and dragging them from the lobby, covering their mouths with her hand once they are in the chair, and I have had an experience before of her telling me as a 8-year old to shut my mouth after saying "Ow!" when she hit me in the gum with a dental drill, while working on a tooth. If you are looking for someone who won't mentally scar your child, don't go to her!

Dr Olga failed to treat my daughter's teeth which resulted in painful and expensive fillings. I always took her every 6 months for check-ups yet her cavities were ignored. As if this wasn't bad enough, she was rude and unprofessional blaming my daughter for the ignored cavities. Kids get cavities-don't get mad at them. I took her to another dentist to get them filled who stated they had been there longer than 6 months and should have been caught in previous visits. She almost had to have root canals they were so deep. I read on another site she put her hands on a child's mouth and told them to stop crying.
