Great Doctor & great staff!!

I used to take my mom to dr walton, we switched after I was told by the er doctor to see her in three days! He said her medication need to b chaged or the problem would re hapening! I did take her! She said its not her job! its her specilist in her heart! Dr walton has been my mom primary care for three year! She the only that refills her medication! Then he was not to concern about celuictie that she had! I switch doctor right away! Now her new doctor has done test, called her other doctors wants to see her every month until everything is under control! Now I found a great primary care doctor who cares about 77 year old women that has medical problems! I would not recommend doctor walton office! Te only thing she was concerned about was if she was using baby powder! my mom blood preasure was high when I took her to see walton, she refused to change the medication! Her new doctor changed it! Her new doctor also has helped get a new blood preasure machine for less

I came in for severe back pain and I have a strong medical background. The staff was very nice. Dr. Walton did not take the time to accurately assess my problem and quickly jumped to diagnostics. She assumed a diagnosis and ordered an ultrasound before the blood work could be evaluated, which whould help determine the cause of the pain. She did not prescribe any medication to help with pain. She told me to schedule an appointment in 2 weeks to go over the lab results which were back in less than 8 hours. I called to ask for pain medication and I was told to take a medication that does not work well unless combined with NSAIDS. Then she prescribed a high dose of NSAIDS when I told her I was nauseous. I finally had to specifically ask for a specific medication. I was also told I could not have a urinary tract infection because I was already on antibiotics but the urinalysis revealed a urinary tract infection. I called and complained that the standard of care was not met. The office staff… spoke with the doctor and cancelled my future appointment and told me to find another doctor. Everyone I spoke with was very nice but when you order unnecessary test, do not provide pain relief, do an inadequate physical examination, make erroneous asumptions, schedule an appointment in 2 weeks to discuss test results, and totally discount everything that the patient says, it is obvious that adequate care was not provided. I urge everyone to be educated about their own health care and stand up for yourself when you are not treated appropriately.
