Dr. Oliver William Jones, MD

My OB does not have an U/S machine in her office so all of mine have been outsourced. Dr. Jones was filling in for the Doc we were supposed to see. This is our 5th pregnancy, and he started off the U/S review by asking us "how we could fix this in the future." He proceeded to mock our decisions regarding BC and general life decisions. He used bullying techniques and talked condescendingly to my husband and I to try to bend to his perspectives. The only reason we were there was for a 12 week U/S, of which he didn't bother to discuss with us except to say "We measured the baby's neck and it looked fine." The Tech who actually performed the U/S was lovely and had told us everything looked as perfect as she could hope to see. I am acutely aware of the risks of a 5th c/section and have talked in depth with my OB about this prior to getting pregnant and if (as far as my previous c/sections were concerned and my current health) was a safe decision. I had not (and will not) discuss any… of this with Dr. Jones, as it is not his place to direct me in these decisions - but rather to interpret the U/S and inform my doctor of his professional opinion of the status of the baby's growth, blood flow, viability of the baby and any other issues he may detect - which happened to be the baby looked great, growth was perfect, and there were no issues. Instead, he took this opportunity to berate and belittle us. Unacceptable and unprofessional. Check your personal feelings toward my beliefs and decisions at the door and do your job, which is discussing my U/S with me.

Excellent bedside manor, thorough, he took the time to explain and answer questions, I did not fell rushed. Looks at all the aspects of an individuals care, personable and compassionate

I work with Dr Jones on a regular basis and think he is one of the best Maternal Fetal Medicine doctors in Denver. He is kind and treats all people with respect. He is very thorough and takes time with his patients. A great physician!
