Olumayowa (Mya) Taiwo Akinyode

Mayowa is a dual board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her education from The University of Texas at Arlington and The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She has experience treating individuals across the lifespan including, but not limited to anxiety, PTSD, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and insomnia. She believes in treating clients holistically, taking into consideration mental, physical, environmental, and social factors. She is passionate about working alongside clients, providing access to high quality mental health care and promoting overall wellness using evidence-based research. She has several years of nursing experience and over 5 years of mental health experience. In her spare time, Mayowa enjoys traveling, self-care and spending time with family and friends.
