Dr. Omar Rashid Qureshi, DO

I have osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, spinal stenosis with severe nerve pain. My condition worsened under his care until I could no longer walk, he told me there wasn’t much he could do and I would have to live with it, and manage it. He would not prescribe meds, and pushed injections. I’ve had injections before and they did not work, but he said this one was different so I reluctantly agreed. I was so desperate at that point. I had it done and I was screaming in pain later that night into the next day. I felt better but on the third day I was in pain again and this time it was different, I felt as if something was wrong and something was floating in me. I went back and explained and asked for an X-ray, he assured me it was normal and everything was fine. The injection did nothing for the pain and I still could not walk. 2 weeks later I was screaming in pain and had to be carried out of my house by EMTs/ambulance. ER doctors were shocked at my condition and found that I had 5 fractures… in my lower spine ( where the injection was), I was admitted and a team of doctors began to treat me and manage my pain. Turned out I also had neck fractures and instability, they told me if I fell one more time that I would be paralyzed, they couldn’t believe I wasn’t already. And they kept asking who my pain doctor was.. I had neck surgery but still no relief in lower body. I need back surgery but because my PC wasn’t treating my osteoporosis and Qureshi didn’t even notice or ask about it, I now have to wait several months to build up bone mass again (I’m seeing all new doctors who are also shocked at my history and lack of care) before I can even be considered for surgery. My quality of life is pretty much gone. I live on my recliner on a heating pad, still trying to find a pain doctor to treat my pain. Every one I’ve seen only wants to do injections knowing full well I cannot have them.

My visit with Dr. Qureshi was amazing! I had seen another doctor he worked with the first time I came into the office, but I had the opportunity to be seen by him on my second visit. He sat me down and allowed me to really explain my issues. He did an exam very carefully and made sure to keep the mood as light as possible. In the end, he went through the possible diagnosis and what steps he was planning to treat my condition. He verbalized everything so clearly that it made complete sense to me!!! What a great experience and I hope to see Dr. Qureshi more often.

Dr Qureshi is one of the most talented pain docs I've met. He really knows his stuff and explains everything in a way that is understandable. He is compassionate and caring. He addresses pain issues from all approaches, not just want to give you an injection like some doctors. I highly recommend him to any one with chronic pain problems.

I usually don't write reviews, but I feel like I must acknowledge Dr. Qureshi for his kindness. Dr. Qureshi is one of the nicest doctors I've dealt with. Being a pain doctor can't be easy, but Dr. Qureshi displays a level of sympathy and concern that I have not seen in any other doctor (and being in my 70s, I've seen many!). He takes the time to listen to me and didn't overlook any pain complaint I raised with him. At the end of our meeting, he explained his plan for each of my issues clearly and I really felt reassured that I would be feeling better under his care. I'm very glad I made the appointment to see Dr. Qureshi and highly recommend him for anyone with any pain issues! 5 stars!

I saw Dr. Qureshi for my chronic pain issues. He is one of the most caring people I have ever met. He was so kind and took the time to hear me tell my story, which is something most doctors haven't done for me. He listened and I could tell he genuinely cared. He went through my imaging reports and MRIs in such great detail, but making it easy for me to understand so I knew exactly what was going on in my spine. He recommended an injection and explained why that injection would help my pain. I ultimately ended up having that injection performed by him and it helped my pain tremendously. Dr. Qureshi is a fantastic physician and I am lucky to have found him.
