Dr. Omer Yehezkel Mei-Dan, MD

My wife had a PAO and DFO from Dr. Mei-Dan. Her pelvis failed to fuse back together, but the Dr removed the screws holding it in place anyway. There were numerous X-Rays taken and the fracture was clearly visible. It has been 2.5 years since the surgeries and since then, my wife has lived a life of pain and suffering. She had a different surgeon revise the surgery with a plate and screws and the bone will still not fuse together. Furthermore, her knee is now turned inwards due to the DFO and I feel like they did it as an experiment instead of being necessary. She is now having a Tenex procedure to remove some of the scar tissue. We have a long road ahead of us now with no real hope of healing or recovery. I would never recommend Dr. Mei-Dan for any surgery. He has ruined our lives.

Dr. Mei Dan performed my hip arthroscopy & PAO which left me disabled for ~2 years until I sought corrective treatments by another surgeon. Throughout my "recovery" Dr. Mei Dan was rude and dismissive of the fact I was not successfully healing- he did not even order new MRI's. This came after he said the surgery went "perfectly" and assured me I would be skiing, running and fully active post recovery. After the two years I left his clinic and went to seek second opinions on my lack of healing. I met with 4 hip preservation specialists who were shocked at the misalignment in my hip. This misalignment resulted in my labrum retearing, and I had to have a labral reconstruction and revision PAO performed to correct his work. Not to mention I have permanent nerve damage from his surgeries. I understand that surgeons make mistakes, but this doctor is dangerous in his unwillingness to uncover his mistakes and work with patients who have less than perfect post-op results.

Dr. Mei-Dan has done surgery on both of my hips with great results. He is extremely knowledgeable and bases his work off the latest research. He went above and beyond to help with insurance authorization issues for my most recent surgery. Very personable and always answers my questions thoroughly. I highly recommend.

This is a Dr. Who Cares about the patient, not the money! What a true professional who is willing to go the distance for the patient. My wife had bi-lateral hip surgery to repair her labrums, and Dr. Mei-Dan was there the entire way for her and made sure the Insurance company did not dictate what care she would receive!! WHAT A GREAT staff.
