The best Doctor I have ever had...Simply the best

Dr. Gupta has been treating my macular degeneration for about three years. I am maintaining my vision because of Dr. Gupta's expertise in treating my eyes. Dr.Gupta is a caring and competent professional who takes time to explain what he is doing for me. All the staff at Mid Atlantic Retina are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful at all times during my appointments. I would highly recommend this Group to anyone with a retina problem.

I went to see Dr. Gupta for my retina exam after looking at the reviews on line but was very disappointed. The wait time was too long; like an assembly line, lot of patients were waiting in the reception area, then the (understandable) wait for pupils to dilate, then on the chair in the exam room. Somebody in the doctors’ offices must learn to respect patients’ time as well. He may be a good eye surgeon; however, despite the excellent education and training, I found him a very poor eye physician. He did not ask any historical info, the examination was very brief and rushing, explanation of examination findings was just few words long. He missed things I know I had from previous evaluations, and when asked about it, he got very defensive. He did not answer my questions truthfully about previous findings I wanted to know about. I simply cannot trust him for my retina exam and will look for someone else who knows how to apply good training and how to be more receptive and… compassionate to patients.

My whole experience was superb, I highly recommend Dr. Gupta for retinal issues. The staff were very professional and proficient. I was called in less than 10 mins of my arrival.

Very knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and he has a friendly yet professional approach. He interacts with you as a person not as a patient.

Dr. Gupta is a young professional with a desire to lend his expertise in treating and caring for patients with retina issues. I have had the privalage to be in his care for a detached retina along with an additional repair and removal of scar tissue from a previous detachment in the opposite eye. I highly recommend this caring, professional gentleman to anyone requiring retina surgery.
