Dr. Oneal Wilson Koger

I have seen Dr. Koger for many years and he is always kind and knowledgeable. He takes as much time as you need but does not waste time either. He is so very respectful of his patients. He uses caution when prescribing medications and makes sure I understand the useage and how not to over use any medication. I appreciate that he does take that extra time to make sure I know how to properly use any medication prescribed. He also offers over the counter alternatives when possible. He is thorough and I can't recommend him enough. His staff is great as well. Very efficient and helpful.

Dr Koger is one of the best in his field. He takes the time to listen to you explain your problem and is very professional in explaining your treatment options.He is always caring and greets you as a family member.He and his staff always treats you with respect and they are a happy and caring office.I completly value His opinions and treatment.I have been His patient for more than 20 years.Thank you Dr Koger and staff for excellent treatment and service.

Aside from Dr. Koger's expert medical prowess, treatment and care, what I like most about his practice, is that he will take the time to talk to you, listen to you and advise you on what's best for you. Unethical Billing Practices Dr. Koger is a nice guy. He is very professional and seems to know and understand his medical craft. However, if you visit his office for a procedure or anything billable, please be aware of the unethical billing practices Koger Dermatology engages in. You will be billed - and expected to pay before leaving - for the entire amount of the visit. Irregardless of what your medical insurance is expected to pay, you are expected to pay the entire amount. They will tell you the amount is what you are obligated for after insurance pays them. NOT TRUE! I should have only been required to pay a $40 co-pay - my insurance covered the rest of the fees. But, I believed the billing clerk that I owed the entire $163 charge for the visit. I paid and left. Several weeks later I happened to look at the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) provided by my insurance company. The insurance company paid $140 (approx) and indicated that indeed, my amount due was only $40. I called the… insurance company to confirm - which they did - and they called Koger and was told that I had a $120 CREDIT at the office. A WHAT? Since when do you have a CREDIT at a doctors's office? I called Koger and they confirmed that the credit existed - but they had no plans of letting me know. I was told that it is up to the patient to review their EOB and request a refund for the over-charged amount. REALLY?!?!?! How often do you think they have KEPT the over-charged amount - without the patient’s knowledge - and effectively were double-paid for the visit? What a nice addition to the bottom line for Koger Dermatology! I requested my refund and was told that it would take 7-10 business days to get a check cut. Well, due to the holidays, that time has extended - BUT - that is not the point. They did not explain their unethical billing procedure to me when I over-paid for my visit. They never mentioned the requirement to review my EOB and request a refund. OF COURSE NOT! They have a nice scam going - it's good for their profit margin! Solid medical advice and procedures tainted by unethical billing practices! BE AWARE!!

A very warm and pleasant office with wonderful staff that greet you with a smile, short waiting time and the best Detroit Tiger/Lion/Piston Sport fan decorated office â??bar noneâ?? Dr. Koger got right to my problem that resulted with quick cure and healing process.

Paperwork produced by office had an incorrect last name, incompetent nurses are rude, aloof and never gave apology. The nurses also claimed they never received my test results,and even had the nerve to hang up on me and basically accused me of lying. I had the receipt from the blood draw clinic, and they were accurate with records proving the results were faxed to them in over a weeks time ago. I saved all my paperwork of their errors. After going about a month without proper treatment and my much needed prescription refill that was never granted due to their mistakes, I called a medication error negligence attorney who also handles handwriting errors, submitting complaints with the Michigan Medical board and the obvious had to find a new doctor.

I saw Dr. Koger for pre-cancerous lesion on my face. I am very impressed with his professionalism, his knowledge and his great bedside manner. Go to him with confidence!
