Dr. Oneita Floydette Taylor, MD

Dr. Oneita Taylor brings a wealth of knowledge and significant experience as a radiation oncologist to CTCA at Southwestern Regional Medical Center. For more than 20 years, she has practiced in the field of radiation oncology. The radiation oncologist says she loves caring for her patients and contributing to their overall well-being.

Dr. Taylor, who was born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas, attended the University of Kansas and Smith College in Massachusetts, where she completed a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. As a graduate teaching assistant, she taught organic chemistry at the University of Minnesota. She earned a medical degree from the University of Kansas and completed a residency and fellowship in radiation oncology at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She also served as Chief Resident.

Prior to joining CTCA in 2007, Dr. Taylor practiced at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. Before pursuing degrees in medicine, she worked as a chemist for the U.S. Department of …Agriculture for a number of years.

Dr. Taylor, who is board certified by the American Board of Radiology, is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners. She is also a member of several professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, the American College of Radiology, the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, and the National Medical Association. In addition, she is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Oklahoma Medical Center.

Dr. Taylor has presented on the subjects of recurrence of colon cancer and therapy for early breast cancer at major medical conferences. Her research on recurrence in the rectosigmoid colon after surgical resection was published in the Journal of the National Medical Association.

In 1994, Dr. Taylor was honored with the Outstanding Achievement in Medicine Award by a consortium of female physicians.

She enjoys spending time with her husband Eugene and playing bridge.
