Dr. Ophnell Alfred Cumberbatch, MD

My family of 6 have been patients of Dr. Cumberbatch over 25 years and stayed with him because he cares. He is Caribbean like we are and since he knows our mindset to medicine, it makes him so relatable. He understands us. He has a great sense of humor. Our kids are “his babies” (grown as they are). I don’t like the long wait at his office, but when I think what is beyond the wait, I exercise patience. We love Dr. C. We feel like family. He is trustworthy and gives good advise in everything. Very supportive and genuine. That’s my doctor.

I enjoy my visits to the doctor's office. He listens to every word and make sure all of my concerns are addressed. The office staff talks to me like family after all I have been with them since 2009. I remember one day on my birthday I had a doctor's visit. After he addressed my concerning he noticed that it was my birthday. Believe it or not, he sang in a low tone while writing notes in my file "the birthday song". I could only smile. It made my day. Dr. Cumberbatch is a great family doctor. I recommend his entire office, staff and doctor to everyone.

I have been going to Dr. Cumberbatch since 1987. I find him to be very professional. Dr. Cumberbatch listens to his patient and takes his time doing his examination. His bedside reminds me of when doctors made house calls and knew all the patients by name.

Over the years I have been fortunate to receive excellent care delivered with compassion and keen interest of my total wellness. I would recommend him very highly. His staff are exemplary and professional in conducting their various tasks. Additionally, based on his experience he can deploy great judgement to any medical issues presented to him. I am thrilled to have him as my internist and pray he doesn't retire anytime soon.

I've been a patient for 25+ years, all my children have been patients as well. Dr. Ophnell is one of the finest doctors in the area. Aside from his outstanding medical acumen, I have always greatly appreciated the time he spends with me. He's not quick to push drugs unless truly needed and very willing to work with my desire to use alternative approaches to healing some times. He is caring and truly dedicated. Yes, your wait might a little long some times but that's because he is giving the care and attention each of his patients deserves and he is so willing to give. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

the staff is more helpful then the doctor at times. he is never on time and take to long to call in my meds when i them. i also have a problem with people walking in afther me and leaving before me when i have a appoitment. its just not right! what do i have to be a personal friend to get good services i am a patient of many years and have seen the staff come and go, but the staff this year is all he have for his business. one more thing every visit i am asked to pay a bill from 2000 in it 2009 i should have been told in the year the bill was made.
