Dr. Ora Burstein, MD

STAY AWAY FROM DR. BURSTEIN'S OFFICE!!!! All the reviews out there about the receptionist are true. She is nasty, rude, disrespectful and entitled. She is miserable with her job and is rude to patients. Today she hung up the phone on me multiple times and accused me of lying about missed appointments from 2018 before I could even state my reason for seeking an appointment with the doctor. It is 2019 lady!!! For all she knows, I was having a serious reaction to food and two weeks ago was forced to see a different allergist because this receptionist couldn't give me the time of day. Today was the last straw. Not only did she hang up multiple times and forced me to go into the office to try and schedule my appointment, she then fabricated a lie saying that I threatened her and when I arrived, I was greeted with locked doors and a threat to call the cops. I'm completely offended and in shock that a doctor would have a receptionist that behaves this way. I've never had such a bad… experience with office personnel. You want a good experience, go see someone else. Whoever this person is, is doing the doctor a disservice by treating her patients this way. As for me, I'll stick with my new allergist. She is amazing and her office staff goes above and beyond for their patients. If I could give zero stars, I would.

If I could give the office personnel a zero I would. I was just accused of not showing up for two appointments in 2018 before I could even state why I need to see the doctor. I told her that must be a mistake and that if the doctor would appreciate her treating her patients this way and the receptionist found it best to hang up on me. When I called back, she picked up after ten rings or more and told me there was no one else I would speak to. She was nasty, rude and very unprofessional. I will never recommend this office to anyone else regardless of whether the doctor is good or not.

My son's former pediatrician had given me a very general diagnosis for reaction my son had and i followed up with my son's former pediatrician's office to get some guidance because this was the first time it had happened and continued to happen for several days, my son's pediatrician did not come to the phone and said that what she had told me the last time had not changed but if i wanted some reassurance that I had to make an appointment for her to tell me the same thing. (the assistant said this but i could hear her in the background). I decided that this was the last time i was going to go to my son's doctor and I decided to get a second opinion with a specialist. I was referred to Dr. Burstein by a patient of hers and was specific with the person taking the appointment about my son's former pediatrician and my dismay with their treatment. The front desk were dry and very short but had a quick appointment so I booked it. The bottom line is that you go to a certain doctor's office… because you feel good with the doctor not necessarily the person that answers the phone. I went to the appointment and the wait was not long. I met with Dr. Burnstein and never in the 28 years of dealing with doctors have i ever met someone so rude, short, unprofessional and inappropriately behaved at an initial consultation. She kept mentioning Jason's former doctor and i kept explaining that we longer wanted to use that doctors, cut me off and did not let me explain, started to describe what my son was experiencing in the same way, then i explaind to her that as a first time mother I needed to be put at ease and i had a right to a second opinion and then she explained a little more in detail but was still very dry and short, had an attitude. She created a hostile environment. Did not want to do a through allergy test on my son just tested him for coconut and thank goodness it was her nurse that did it because she was so polite had bedside manners she did not have, took the time to explain things and guide Jason and myself as to what was going on. I immediate was under the impression that she spoke to my son's former pediatrician who did not referred us (but i was upfront about this when i made the appointment) and she seemed annoyed that i was consulting with her. She came back in and did not even shake my hand, was still short and basically rushed us out of her office. It has been the most unpleasant experience i have had. I informed the person that referred me to her that it was the most unpleasant experience i have had and I have asked the new pediatrician to refer me to someone that i feel more comfortable with. I would not recommend this Doctor for someone who has children.

Absolutely RUDE and unprofessional!
