Dr. Ora Beth Gewurz-Singer, MD

Hi my name is Kathleen I have seen Dr. Singer for years. I'm shocked at some of these reviews .I seen two other rheumatologist before her, that would not even listen or cared that I wasn't getting any better. I feel better ever since I have been seeing her. She or her nurse always answers the portal right away .She always remembers what I talk about even if its about my famliy, and helped to refer me to other doctors for thing that don't have any thing to do with Rheumatoid arthritis. I now have my sleep apnea takin care of because of her ,and seen a urologist! So I would highly recommend Dr. Singer!!!

I have been a PT of Dr Singer for several yrs. I was very frustrated when I was referred to her. No diagnosis=no treatment! She was able to listen to me and read my lab rpts and give me a possible diagnosis. She has helped me and it gives her a big smile when I tell her how much better I am. Forward to today; I walked into my office and was instantly televideo transported to ann arbor for a Dr appt. I was able to address all of my concerns and be answered by my personal rheumatologist with the same appropriate questions and answers. In the same amount of time. Very relaxed. I wasn't having any problems other than my insane insomnia. We were able to cover everything necessary for us both to feel my appt was more than adequate. Even when she shared some of her personal self that always makes me feel like she really cares about me and is understanding of my issues. Never devaluing me. In short I write this to say, I would see no problem with this type of patient/Dr/ counselor or… anything that I can feel satisfied with my time spent and outcome.

Spent less than 60 seconds with me. Acts bothered by questions about medications. The staff at this office is great but I’ve been very disappointed by her care.

Not very open to questions, or taking a collaborative approach with patient.

I saw Dr. Singer at the Northville office. she was wonderful. I had seen 3 previous rheumatologists. She was the first that listened to me. She spent time with me and helped me to understand what was wrong. Her staff were efficient and polite. I give her a 5+ star rating!

Does not have enough experience. Wasted 1yr of treatment on somthing i did not have....

Dr. Singer took care of me when I was admitted to the hospital. I only have good feedback to give. I was very sick and her and her team nursed me back to health. She was smart and was able to explain why I was there in a way I understood. She was patient and spent a lot of time with my family and me.

I saw Dr. Singer for joint pain. She was on time, kind and compassionate. She was the first doctor who really listened to my complaints and took me seriously. I highly recommend her.

If I could rate her a negative number, I would! It was the worst experience I have ever encountered with a specialist. I have never been so upset with the lack of care and compassion demonstrated by a Dr. I had two separate visits with her, but left feeling the same each time; VERY angry,frustrated, and disappointed. She would not listen to my symptoms, family history, and concerns and seemed to have her own agenda from the minute she walked in the room. I was suffering from severe symptoms, but she continually dismissed me and everything I said. She ordered blood work and told me that I probably had a virus. My symptoms persisted and became more severe which led to the second visit. I was treated like I was bothering her and she seemed real annoyed with me that I showed up again. She is obviously not interested in patient care, and should have chosen a different field, I will be seeking medical attention elsewhere with hopes of receiving professional care. I would NEVER… recommend this Dr, and I hope to save others from suffering and enduring a horrific experience!!

My fave quote was "I could tell you didn't have rheumatoid arthritis when you walked in here". She didn't listen, didnt prescribe meds she said she would and it took me three times to get those. Didn't followup on the phone. Don't make the same mistake I did.
