This has been my second time being rescued by Dr Atlas. I was in so much pain I was barely able to walk. I was taking strong pain medicines just to exist. My surgery was a success and I am no onger in pain. Thank you Dr Atlas. I will highly recommend you.

My life stopped in a moment, I fainted and fractured my spine in three places. I was transported by ambulance to the hospital. I met Dr. Orin Atlas in an emergency situation where I had to make choices. Choices that would effect my future mobility. I have had two previous spinal fusions as a child so it caused more risk and surgical skill than most cases. Needless to say I was frightened. With great kindness, Dr Atlas spent time with me and explained my options in details. At 61 years old, I chose surgery. Dr. Atlas spoke with me prior to surgery and reassured me before they administered medication and wheeled me into the operating room. After surgery, he called my husband to tell him the surgery was a “success”. Both pre and post surgery Dr. Atlas was available for questions or concerns. His bedside manner is kind and understanding. I am now six weeks post surgery and recently had my latest follow up appointment. The appointment was NOT rushed and the staff at his office has… been amazing. I still have a long road of PT ahead of me but I can walk. I highly recommend Dr. Atlas.

Calling the office was excellent and got my follow up appointment at our convenience . The staff was friendly and had a very nice attitude. There wasn't no wait time to have my call answered any time I called and they got the answers I needed right away from Dr Atlas immediately. Dr Atlas was excellent he performed my spine operation and went over the details and gave me confidence about the road ahead. The spinal surgery he performed on my back totally relieved me of my excruciating pain that was ruining every minute of my life and had landed me in the emergency ward at Virtua. It was a blessing that just by luck he was there that day and we met him after I received a MRI . He came down with pictures of my issue, confidently explained what had me crippled up and what my options were. He made me feel relaxed right after he slowly took his time explaining and showing me my huge herniated disc and bone pressing up against the nerve and told me "I can help you with this… immediately." I was scared about back surgery of any kind but the pain I had and the confidence and assurance of Dr Atlas that he can help me and has done this many times made me make the decision that day. I definitely do recommend him, he gave me my life back again. I had instant relief after my surgery of my lower back pain, hip hurting and leg tingling all the way down to my toes. For the last year I had been struggling with left leg pain and numbness in my right foot. I was not able to walk a half block or stand more than 5 minutes before I started to have severe pain. I was diagnosed through a lumbar MRI with severe central canal stenosis at L2-L3. I made an appointment with Dr. Orin Atlas to seek treatment. He recommended and performed a laminectomy surgery. After surgery I followed my instructions for home care. Walking was recommended. Now after 12 days since surgery I am walking outside about 1 1/2 miles a day with no pain in my legs and no numbness in my feet. Dr. Atlas did an excellent job. I am very happy with the successful results after surgery. I want to thank Dr. Atlas and his staff for all they did. They made me feel comfortable with their professionalism and friendliness.

I went in to Atlas not being able to walk without severe pain in my lower back. He performed surgery on me and immediately i was feeling 100% better. I would recommend him to anyone who is in need of relief of pain.

On or about Feb. 5 of this y ear I had the most intense neck pain in my life. I could not move my head at all and lost all motion in my right arm. I went to Virtua Medical Center ER in Mt. Holly NJ. I was given a C Scan and a MRI. I was then diagnosed with a spinal epidural abscess and a neurosurgeon, Dr. Oren Atlas was called in. Dr. Atlas told me I would need laminectomy surgery in the morning, or I would become paralyzed, and possibly die, should the infection travel to the blood stream. I said yes to the surgery. I needed four surgeries. Dr. Atlas first went into the thorax region of my spine to get rid of the infection. After that surgery, I remained intubated, and was taken for another MRI. I was in too much pain to get into the position needed on the first MRI. I then spent the night intubated in the ICU. The following morning Dr. Atlas then went into my neck to get rid of the infection in that part of my spinal column. He left the incision open with a drain. A few days later,… Dr. Atlas then went into my neck again to be sure he got all the infection, and close the incision. About a week later Dr. Atlas performed the fourth surgery. He went into the front of my neck, to put in titanium rods, to sure up my weakened spinal column, and prevent my head from slipping out of place. The infection was cultured and identified. I was then treated with an intravenous antibiotic through a pick line for about ten weeks. I received a final MRI and was cleared by infectious disease Doctor Sherin Meledathu. I was in Virtua Medical Center for three weeks then transferred to Kessler Rehabilitation Center in Vorhees NJ for ten days. I then was released home and had a visiting nurse for another six weeks. I fully recovered. I got back full motion of might right arm with no restrictions. I have the same quality of life as I had before my illness. I owe all of this to the surgical skill and experience of Dr. Atlas. His calm demeaner and confidence really kept me at ease through the whole ordeal. Thank you Doctor Atlas. I am forever grateful. I would also like thank Dr. Atlas assistants for their help. I would also like to thank the all the other Doctors, Nurses, Physical Therapists, and Speech Therapists of both Virtua Medical Center and Kessler Rehabilitation Center. All of you together brought me to a full recovery.

Everyone at Dr Atlas office including Dr Atlas is so caring. I was seen after being admitted to the hospital for and infection that settled in my spine. Surgery was required on 6 vertebrae. I am happy to say that 6 weeks post op I am functioning at a much better level.
