Dr. Orlando Kypuros, MD

It’s hard to get an appointment with doctor. Only NPs that have little experience. The staff that looks like a troll with colored hair has no manners and is so rude.

Dr Kypruros is very patient and throughy. Great listener and takes all the time you need to talk to him. Wonderful Dr.

Always problems with reaching office by phone...Office staff wonderful, Drs. Kypuros and Park really patient-oriented. Both are excellent at working with me, will take time to discuss meds and treatment, are excellent with explanations...

too hard to reach the office because the voice mail picks up, so you can leave a message, but often get call backs only 1 month later. once medications are prescribed you can't get refills. doc is too busy to refill them.

Dr. Kypuros is an excellent physician, willing to listen and understand your concerns. He is thorough, provides details and explains when you don't understand something about a diagnosis. I have recommended him to family and friends.

I think the world of Dr. Kypuros and trust him totally. Only problem is his administrative staff out front. Too much work and need help or not organized. Inordinate waiting times and I have been cut off waiting. Tough to get through for appointments. They are courteous but frustrating.

He has a heart of gold and the knowledge of socrates. Shout out to JC.

Wonderful Doc who cares and takes his time with you

I suffer from post viral fatigue (or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) which came on after an infection with mononucleosis. My current doctor recognized this right away after I was fed up with Dr. K. and saw another doctor. A Google search reveals that it is an extremely common ailment. However, Dr. K. knew nothing of it. On my first visit he told me that people always bounce back after mono and that there was no reason for me to be feeling that way. He ordered blood work but was very quick to push antidepressants. This happened every visit from the first to the last. I refused them and told him that my symptoms were physical, not mental. There was nothing wrong with my mood. I asked about a referral to an infectious disease specialist and he wrote it. However, when I called the infectious disease specialist's office to make an appointment her nurse told me that my blood work didn't indicate any current infection and that if I had had mono then it was likely now Chronic Fatigue, the… ailment that I would eventually be diagnosed with. When I told Dr. K of this news his response was simply, "I've never heard of Chronic Fatigue after mono." He again told me that he would prescribe antidepressants and I again told him that I wasn't depressed. The only thing that came up abnormal on my blood work at this point was my ANA, which was slightly above the range it should be. He then referred me to a rheumatologist who only administered a quick urine test and indicated that I was not suffering an autoimmune disease. As I knew he was going to push antidepressants yet again, I went to a psychiatrist to be evaluated for mental illness, to which he confirmed that I was not mentally ill. I informed Dr. K. of this on my next visit. He seemed skeptical, and asked that I try taking zoloft just to see what it does. When I refused this time he responded, "Well, there's nothing I can do for you." The appointment ended right there. I then saw my current doctor weeks later who diagnosed me on the first appointment. It's hard to say whether Dr. Kypuros genuinely thought I was depressed or if the drug companies give him some kind of incentive to prescribe antidepressants. I'm not sure how all that works. It was very frustrating visit after visit to try to convince him that I was suffering physically, not mentally. My main symptoms were body aches, fatigue, swollen lymph nodes and headaches. I would describe them to him repeatedly but for some reason he either didn't believe me or thought that I was just imagining them. The more concerning part was the last visit, how he was basically willing to give up. I feel a good doctor wouldn't let a patient leave his office without finding out what was wrong. By posting this I'm not directly trying to damage his reputation, but I do think people need to be educated when searching for a doctor. Your PCP should be somebody you trust with your life.

Sorry I ever saw this doctor. Very negative. Does not ask patient any questions and the only thing he looks at is your heart and breathing.
