Dr. Orlando Esteban Silva, MD

It was 16 years ago, the first time I walked into Doctor Silva's office at Sylvester just after being diagnosed with breast cancer. Needless, to say I was in tears devastated and scared of the unknown. I will never forget that day and how he made me feel like I was part of his family and together we will get through this and I will be OK. Dr. Silva is a caring, smart, knowledgeable, genuine, man of faith, has incredible bed side manners, explains every detail as many times as needed, gives you all his explanations and course of treatment in detail. Because of all this I will and have followed him to every hospital he is in. He is my ANGEL.

Dr. Orlando Silva is an extremely knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate oncologist who takes care of the whole patient. I’ve been blessed to have him as my doctor for the past 10 years!! I highly recommend him.

Dr Silva is so wonderful and compassionate with my mom and I. The journey with Cancer has not been easy but we are safe with Dr Silva expert treatment. God bless him he is really the best doctor ever.

Dr Silva is amazing. Listened to everything I said. Was extremely professional kind and polite and a great doctor. I have 27 years working for physicians and he is by far the best I have ever seen. A great diagnostician. Ordered the tests I needed. I followed up in two weeks. Had all results. Even wrote them on an easel so I would understand. Ordered some more necessary tests and I will see him again in three weeks. Unbelievably great physician.

Dr listened to everything I said. Allowed time for me since I was a new patient. Spoke to me in a way that I understood everything he wanted to do to help me. Ordered tests that were necessary. Had me return in a two week period. Again best office visit I have had I think ever. I come from a 27 year medical background and he was the best. His knowledge and kindness were amazing.

When my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer, Dr. Silva talked to both of us and indicated that not only the surgery, but also the treatment, was intended to ensure that we would all continue to see each other and be friends, for at least the next twenty years. That kind of personal care is not common. We have been blessed to have Orlando as a doctor, as an acquaintance, and as a friend after the treatment. Also, the man is extremely knowledgeable. Right on target on everything he prescribes. If anybody were to ask me why my wife is alive today, I would say First because of the Lord, but immediately after that, Orlando Silva.
