Dr. Orna Rosen, MD

Dr. Rosen graduated from medical school at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel, in 1979, and then completed a rotating internship in 1980 at Zerifin Medical Center, Israel, followed by five years of pediatric residency at Soroka and Beilinson Medical Centers in Israel. During her residency, Dr. Rosen did basic science research in the endocrine division with Dr. Zvi Laron on the effect of growth hormone on children who suffered from multiple pituitary hormone deficiency. After her residency, Dr. Rosen did a full fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine (1987-89). During this time Dr. Rosen did research in kidney physiology, acidosis and carbonic anhydrase enzyme, and she presented her research at a national Society for Pediatric Radiology conference in 1989. After fellowship Dr. Rosen worked five years in Chicago’s Mount Sinai and Children Memorial Hospital as an attending neonatologist. In 1994 Dr. Rosen moved back to New York to work …at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. Dr. Rosen is especially interested in clinical education of residents and fellows, apnea of prematurity, pneumogram interpretations, the Neonatal Resuscitation Program and simulation-based medical training.
