Dr. Osama Anis Malak, MD

Dr. Malak is very polite and caring. I have been his patient a few years. I got results the very first time I received my injection. I see him 1 to two times a year.

I chose to go to pain management, asked my family doctor to write me a referral, and then I looked up places and chose this one mainly for the location. I am sorry now I did not look up reviews first before choosing to go to him! I have seen him for over a year now, I have taken the same pill for my pain, and it has worked good for me, but with the craziness of the weather and my bones becoming more inflamed there are times it just does not work as well. I made the mistake of telling him this, he then right away told me he was putting me on another drug, one that you dissolve in your mouth, he said it lasts longer, and of course I figured he was the doctor, and he did ask was my asthma okay, and I said at the time it is fine, I do all I can to keep it that way. I got home, and got a call from the pharmacy saying my med had to be approved by my insurance, I then asked what it was and info on it, and the first thing I was told was that it can cause severe breathing issues so bad it can… lead to death! I then looked it up my-self and the first thing I saw was WARNING: then it went on to say this drug has tendencies to cause serious breathing issues among many other terrible things! I do not take anything that may cause me to have an asthma attack! I just got over double pneumonia 2 months prior to this, and no way was I going to take anything to cause my lungs to act up! I then called his office and left a message, the woman returned my call the next day, I explained to her I did not want to take this medicine and why and asked her to please pass it along to the doctor and ask him to please just call in my normal med that I know I can tolerate. I got a call the next day saying my insurance had approved this med, (very expensive, and new) ( I know they get kick backs on these new meds) I then told her I had already called twice saying not to send to my insurance company, I did not want to try a new drug especially one with the side affects this one has, she then put me on hold, came back saying he does not want to call in my other med, that I must take the new one! When I tried again asking for my regular medicine, I was still told it was the new one or nothing! How heartless and cruel to insist someone take something and when they refuse (which is a patients right) be punished by this doctor and not get anything at all for pain! I pray that this man gets what he deserves one day! You cannot treat human beings like they are guinea pigs and expect it to keep being allowed, his day will come, some day the board will see how inhumane this man is, and how cruel!

He is a poor doctor that only wants to give you them injections that do nothing and when you tell him you don't want anymore he gets a smart with you like all your there for is drugs ,he gives you a urine test first things ,it's doctor's like him why so many people are turning to the streets

I would not take my goldfish to see this doctor!!! I DO NOT recommend at all!

I was with this dr for many yrs and he did nothing for my pain gave me acetaminophen with codeine after a while it stopped working I also got injections that I didn't like but because I had missed a appointment I was released from the practice with no where to go for my pain

I had similar experiences to what the previous wirters had. Was told that I would not receive my medications that have worked well for over a year unless I submitted to the implantation of a spinal cord stimulatr, despite my valid concerns that he chose to ignorn. FIND ANOTHER PHYSICIAN!!!!!!!!!!!

i agree with the last comment i read about him very true i had brain surgery and it didnt go well no my neck is screwed up i go to see him never looked at my mri disc also injections right away right were i had surgery he gives me a lousey 90 vicoden and says if you dont go through a series of three shots i cant help you or right anything more 4 you when i just had surgery he will use all the insurance he can also drug tested every visit thats fine but an extra 50 dollars everytime it literly costs about 300 a visit for 90 vicoden admits no you have a problem he is a quack and stay away find another pain doc thjis one is bad go to him youll see what i mean and the other person who commented on him bring your checkbook

i found it very hard to talk with doctor he wanted to do injection after injection then he wanted to send me to a surgeon once he had gotten all the money he could from my insurance he was done with me and on to his next victim. he did help me with pain meds but if i didn't do the injections he would cut me off until i did even though i told him i did not want injections. after all injections were done and insurance would not pay for anything but regular office visits he was done with me even though meds were helping alot. beware
