Dr. Oscar Caban Badillo

This doctor has horrible/ terrible if at all existent bedside manners. He is unreliable and unresponsive. I have never seen such unprofessional care/service in my life. If you need a reliable Doctor don't choose him. He tries so hard to get you to choose them, afterwards you're left with a doctor that doesn't honor his office hours and is never there. He acts like he's doing you a favor, rather than realizing he made an oath and has fiduciary responsibility attached to to the trust bestowed upon choosing him as a PCP.

He is the most incompetent and irresponsible ANYTHING I have ever met in my life. My father called his office expressing he didn't feel well asked for an urgent appointment. The doctors office was well aware of the extreme heart conditions my father had. Despite the urgency and fact that he critically needed assistance and to be seen ASAP they gave him an appointment for three weeks later. My father died just days after that call. This doctor didn't even certify his death he was no where to be found when the police called, when my family called NO WHERE TO BE FOUND. I later went to him to fill out medical leave of absence paperwork so that I could take care of my mother who is disabled post my fathers death. His initial response was if I went to the DA's office... FOR WHAT? This is medical paperwork that specifically ask for my mothers medical information ( and I'm her health proxy so HIPAA is taken cared for). He said he would fill them out by the end of the week and really what he… did was sit on them for a whole month. He returned them to me blank because I asked how can I trust him with my mom if he's never there. His secretary by the way is the most unprofessional person ever( The way she answers the phone is the way a 15 year old answers her cellphone, " Hellloooo" is how she answered that one phone call she ever answered after three weeks of calling... )Within that month my family and I called and would go to his office frequently TO NO AVAIL!!! HE IS HARDLY EVER THERE. The excuse and script is he is a doctor in the hospital caring for patients with covid.... so if he doesn't have time for his private practice and its patients why does he have a private practice? Why not refer them to a doctor that has time to show up? Isn't that the moral and ethical thing to do? To be there when most needed? Isn't a doctor supposed to act in good faith? Isn't he supposed to be there for his patients when most needed? And if he cant, refer them to a doctor who can! An example, when I explained to my family doctor in NYC that my dad died he quickly responded and did everything in his power to assist. He too works in a very busy hospital in NYC (Jacobi) but did he give that as an excuse? NO He was responsive and acted in good faith... Oscar Caban Badillo doesn't mirror this. He acts as if he's doing you a favor, when in fact all he has to be is a reliable and competent doctor.... man can't even show up to certify your death or treat his most vulnerable patients... no triage system... you about to die get in line appointment in 3 weeks???? like my dad they die waiting for him. If you are too busy in the hospital don't leave your private practice patients hanging dry!!!!! Terrible doctor he deserves negative stars. He doesn't work in the best interests of his patients. He cares more about scoring insurances and patients than actually treating the ones who trusted him enough to have him as a PCP.... BUYER BEWARE!!!
