Dr. Oscar Joseph Dominguez, MD

He prescribed the wrong medicine to treat an urinary infection, causing it not to clear on time for clearance of an upcoming operation. However, when I got the results from the lab, face to face to me, he said that was a minor infection, to take the antibiotics, that it would have no bearing on the clearance, just to repeat the lab work within a week, just as routine. Then his head nurse shows it all over the paper they sent to the surgeon, preventing my operation. I had told them that I was in a lot of pain and could not afford to miss that scheduled date. They lied to me all the way thru the Thursday before the operation saying they had sent it, when in reality what they had sent was the lab results, creating a lot of questions in the mind of the surgeon, which ended up suspending my operations. When challenged about the lies and the infectiveness of the medicine prescribed, they said I insulted them. A good cop out, since they could not argue my challenge with facts. I told… the Dr. that I was going to switch primaries, but I needed one more test to see if they infection was cleared, after treatment with a new set of stronger antibiotics that I got on my own. They dropped me instead, leaving me in limbo for the final test to check on my infection. Very unethical, a REAL doctor would not have made that rush decision. But yet again, he consults everything with the "book", whatever book it is I have found his decisions wrong many times. AS a matter of fact, I had the same infection last year, and he didnt followed up on the treatment, or indicated new labs, to see if it had cleared. For all I know, this is still the same infection! The Doctor is there only three times a week, the majority of the prescriptions and calls are made by the Head nurse, which is calling the shots. They transfer to her or to the new"partner" in the office, a CHIROPRACTOR!, with who I refused to discuss my medical problems with. Emails that I had sent during my interaction with them this week to coordinate my operation, were not even pulled until four days later, while I was there and asked them about it. The worst is that they lied to me, saying they had sent the clearance since a week ago, when in reality they had sent all the labs data, not the clerance. Knowing my urgency for this operation, they could have done another test sooner to see if the antibiotics were working, or prescribed shots or a stronger kind from the beginning or in the middle of the week. Now, fter being in terrible pain and unable to perform my daily activities for two months, I have to started all over, and continue to suffer until God knows when, thanks to Dr. Dominguez and his Head nurse, who I hold personal responsible for this fiasco!

3 weeks ago Not only does Miami Medical Center have the best most attentive staff i have ever experienced, but Dr. Dominguez is a wonderful, knowledgeable, attentive physician that was able to diagnose a condition that had gone unnoticed by my former PCP. I would highly recommend Dr. Dominguez and his office to anyone looking for a PCP that is always available, responds quickly and works alongside the best staff.

I do not recommend this doctor at all

I don't think he was a bad doctor. I don't like young doctors these days I perfer the older ones because they have more experience I had a doctor before him who has 47 years of expereince but he moved to another county he is 75 years old and still loves his work and will not retire until he is 85. My pervious Dr recommend me Dr. Dominguez, he has about 15 years of experiences saw him the first time and I was not to impress in his way of explaining things, he doesn't sit down to check your situation I had a problem and he just send me pills and my system got worse. He reminds me of Jay Lenno. Now, he is letting go on patients I don't know why. Still he recommends me a lady who is next to his place which i found her unprofessional and so plastic that's why I don't like woman doctors. So that tells me what kind of recommendations he is sending me. But I have to give some credit to his workers and nurses they all are willing to help you in anyway. I appreciate their hard work, they answer… the phone calls, email, or answer any questions. I never had a complain with them just with the Dr. For some reason I don't know why he is letting go of his patients and he moved to another building I think he might just chose his faviort patients. I'm 46 years old with high blood pressure/heart issue and still no solution to my problem. Hopefully some other doctor can help me out with this issue. Do I recommend him? I'm not sure, if a doctor lets you go its for a reason and i never got a reason for it. Just a phone call saying that the doctor is not seeing any more patient. I thought it was a joke but it was for real I'm sure that other patients of his are not happy of what he is doing, but I still think he should of done this for next year not this year. Its just very unprofessional of him letting go of his patients. I don't know how a professional Doctor will do this but in my point of view I would give my patient sometime. Again, if you want to see him go for it he is not bad; however, if you go to see him, I'm not sure if he is willing to get new patient I think he should just retired. I don't want him as a doctor when I am 65 years old.

I'm very disappointed in him, he kicked me out of his office now i don't have any good doctors to choose from. Now he sends me to anothr person that i don't even like i'm not happy with him I can't beleive it. I'm a sad person now, not happy with his service I think he didn't want to help me he was not helpful at all super disapointed. Do not recommend him at all. He probably thought I was in love with him or thought that i'm crazy or something which i'm not I had a major total respect for this man, he hurt me and broke my heart and I even cried. But now, I don't like him anymore and now, I will not even ask for a blessing for him, I wrote the previews review and now I regret saying what I wrote not a good doctor at all I hate him right now. I will not go with him for nothing else I will find a better doctor and don't waste his time for nothing I hate him. I even prayed to god that I would find a good doctor and now god has disappointed in me I'm not happy. Why does this happen to me.… =(

Don't know what the negative person wrote about this doctor of a death certificate but I am sure that he went to Dr. Dominguez in the last min. of finding a doctor and rushed for his help and he couldn't help that person because he didn't have any information about him or her. Don't get me wrong, but if you blame him for this I would not blame him at all. I think that that person should of given him the information of what this doctor needed to resolve the problem not leave him with the problem and run. Doesn't make sense or I may be wrong but this is my understanding of the negative comment. Anyways total cool doctor young and smart. Sadly he is a little far for me but i'll do anything to see him. He is an excellent Doctor and so professional of what he does. Love him so much and his staff will call your house, email you, or send you mailing cards if you need any communication. I was sick one time and his office called me to see how I was doing and that made my day. I never seen a… doctor who will call my own house to see how i'm doing just my dentist who is like family to me. I'm living in a different world lol. But it should be like that type of American style of office hard working staff. I would recommend this man to anyone, he is so polite and so respectful the only down side is that his physician just takes care of you and he just sees your results and that's it so i hardly don't see him. Otherwise, I totally love this man with all my respect he is like god to me and I am blessed to him as my doctor he is so good that I don't want to find any other doctor except him. I will stay with him until i get old and he will take care of me when I'm an old person lol .

I was recommend by my dad's Dr. when i saw this dr the first time i was nervous thinking if he would be a bad dr its hard to find good dr this day but you know what i totally love this man i trust him with all my heart soul and life he is so professional and helpful i love him already he knows what he is doing and is willing to help you out as much as he can thank god he is not old my other Dr. retired he is not too old or young but super smart i would see him everyday if i have too lol good man good personality love this guy. He has great staffs that work there don't like the other dr he is training super strange and does this strange stuff with his eyes like he likes me i don't recommend the assistance helping guy dr horrible i think he is from Cuba young man don't like him at all find another one please not this guy i beg you

was he too busy on a Sunday afternoon to address the issue of signing a death certificate? talk about ethics... of course he doesnt know the patient..he is filling in for other Doctors.. I guess they can't bill Medicare for death certificates..
