Dr. Oscar Pedro Rago, MD

Couldn’t be bothered with me. I had physical swelling and bruising. Restricted movement and he didn’t even examine me. Just got an X-ray and said everything is normal and sent me on my way. No answers, no help. Didn’t even try to figure out what was wrong.

I honestly haven't had such a horrible experience in my life. I went to the ER and I told Dr. Rago I have pain in my ovaries which is shooting up to my kidney. He did a urine and blood test only. I was waiting for the nurse to come take my blood, and she was asking the other nurse how to proceed with it. She poked me so hard blood gushed everywhere including on my brand new shoes leaving a stain. This is right after I told her I was squeamish. They took it upon themselves without asking for permission to clean the blood off from my shoes with disinfecting wipes, causing the stain to be worse. I looked at the name tag and they were student nurses. I was put on a machine to monitor my heart rate it dropped from 128 to 60 and I felt as if I was about to pass out. The machine was beeping non stop but nobody came for assistance. There was no button to press for help either. An hour later, one of the student nurses came by and I asked to go the bathroom, when I came back to the room no one… came back at all to plug everything back in. Then I overheard Dr. Rago stating "I have a patient in a room and nothing is wrong with her". He came into the room and said that found protein and no UTI which I mentioned I from the beginning I had. He said my blood showed my kidney function is normal and he was going to dismiss me. His actual nurse came by almost an hour later to visit the patient across from me, after she was finished she was already walking away. I kindly asked how long it was going to take until I was discharged. She rolled her eyes and snapped at me saying " I'm coming right now". She then gave me prescriptions for a UTI, after the Dr. Rago stated there is no UTI. I told her why had they prescribed me a UTI medication if I don't have a UTI infection. She said I could just take it if I want???? I then asked her if they don't know why I am in so much pain and it's shooting up to my kidneys. Her response was " There is protein in your urine but we cant detect the problem because the blood results showed normal kidney function". She clearly admitted that there was a problem which they did not want to take any additional steps to figure out. Immediately the next day I went to my primary doctor who said there is blood and protein in your urine, and said I need to get an Ultra-sound and was surprised why Dr. Rago never ordered a CT scan or Ultra sound. I made a last minute appointment and got Ultra-sound same day and I had a kidney stone on my right side, and a dangerous 4cm cyst with blood also on my right side which is the reason why I am in so much pain.
