Dr. Otis Anderson, MD

This Dr. is a quack! Quack! Quack! He is always late, makes you wait hours and when you finally get into to see him he stays on his phone! He called me and told me he left First Counseling and how sh*4ty they were to him, so I gave him a try and he is the one who is sh84ty! He has been in trouble time and time again with various boards ...Its all over the internet..I don't know why he ain't in prison!

Shelley Jensen in the last week I am new to the area and needed to find a local doctor to take over managing my meds. I made an appointment with Dr. Anderson as he is a preferred provider with my insurance company. I went to this clinic for almost a year before ever meeting the doctor, even though I had made my appointments to meet with him directly and not just a nurse. One of the nurses told me the clinic was more of a facility to treat drug addictions than a clinic to treat patients like me with depression. I had to sign a release to submit to random urine tests (for drugs and/or pregnancy). If I didn't agree to it, they would refuse to provide patient care. When I went to my initial appointment, I was asked to give a urine sample, which is fine since I have never used drugs, I don't drink or smoke and am too old to get pregnant. Nothing to hide! I asked the intake nurse what my insurance company would be charged for this test and was told the test would be processed in house at… their own lab, that it would not be an extra charge and is required of everyone. Then I got a bill in the mail from a private laboratory in Texas showing I owed over $3,000 for that very urine test that was supposed to have been processed at the clinic! When I took the statement and a detailed letter regarding that lab bill to the clinic, I asked for someone in the billing department to call me and discuss my account. I never heard from anyone. I asked Dr. Anderson at one of the only two appointments I have actually seen him, and he just said not to pay it as mental health services cannot be sent to collections. Another issue is that I have been waiting for over a week for the doctor to fill out a prior authorization request required by my insurance company for a particular medication I have been taking for many years. My pharmacy and insurance company have contacted the clinic multiple times. When I call the clinic, I either get hung up on or told it will be handled. I have left multiple messages on their voicemail, but do not get my calls returned. I had to go off one of my meds for over a week while trying to get this handled. I have always been pleasant (never demanding or rude) and compliant with the clinic's rules and requirements. I have never had so much frustration with a doctor or clinic in my life. I don't want anyone else to go through this hassle, especially if they are in need of professional, reliable, timely and effective medical treatment.

Dr. Anderson ia excellent with children. He takes his time. I felt important not just if I were another patient. He knows what he is doing and does it well.

Dr. Anderson and his nurse practitioner Lacie was absolutely phenomenal. They both made me feel very comfortable and explained things in such a way, where I could easily understand it... without making me feel stupid. 1st source counseling has incredible staff and they were all super friendly. I feel very fortunate that I finally found them.

I had an appointment with Dr. Anderson. He never even saw me. I saw his nurse or some other medical professionals that basically just told Dr. Anderson what my medical issue was. He never even took the time to see or talk to me. This place is terrible. If you want to see a doctor, this is not the place to go.

Dr Anderson takes cares of his patients even with me a substance abuser. The staff seems to be the kind that look down on ppl with mental issues and chemical issues. I have been sober 4 months and trust me I don't need you looking down at me. One Day At A Time
