Dr. Pacifico G Flores, MD

I DO NOT RECOMMEND Dr. Pacifico Flores. I took someone to the walk-in center for chest pains and he asked a few questions, listened to his heart, and pushed on his chest a bit, then told us it did not seem anything to worry about but to see a doctor the next day. He was ready to leave the room, but I insisted on an EKG; he pushed back saying it was not necessary, I persisted. The nurse did the EKG, and Dr. Flores came in to give us a paper slip with the EKG reading. His exact words: “There is nothing too serious.” I asked him to elaborate; is there something a “little” serious? Several times, he cut me off while talking and I needed to be persistent in getting my words in and being able to finish my question. He then rushed us out of the office. When I got home, I saw the EKG slip offered further detail under the “Conclusions” section that he neither shared nor explained to us. We have a follow-up appointment with our cardiologist tomorrow – but I am LIVID at the negligence and (lack… of) bedside manner of this “doctor.” He had ONE job to do – communicate his findings –and he failed. As an important aside – he wiped his nose with a paper towel during the visit and did not wash his hands afterward. He also put his stethoscope in the patient's ears (after using them in his own) without cleaning them first. His lack of hygiene, cleanliness, and respect SHOULD BE OF CONCERN to his fellow medical community and any patient under his care. We will never go back, and I strongly recommend you do not either. I read online that he has 54+ years’ experience, so either he was always like this or he is riding out his time to retirement and has gotten apathetic and lethargic in his practice.

Dr. Flores is a compassionate, thorough, and knowledgeable doctor. He takes time to explain anything the patient wants to know, is not a Prescription-happy doctor, He likes to make the patient understand the nature of the illness, and will advise on the least harmful way of curing the illness. He works with the patient's welfare first.
