Dr. Padmaja Kodali, MD

Dr. Kodali saved my life. When I was rushed to East Orange General Hospital about a year ago, she was the only Dr. who really found out all that was wrong with me. She kept a close eye on me and told me the truth about my condition and what she was going to do about it. I was put on dialysis and had to get many more tests and lots of medication. I finally was able to leave but had to go to a nursing /physical rehab facility for 6 months. I had to learn to walk again and continued dialysis under her direction. She always followed my progress closely. When my nurses weren't treating me properly she would step in and help. When I finally went home I had regular office visits with her. She was able to get me off dialysis and live a normal life. Everybody else I knew that was on dialysis was either waiting for a new kidney or just accepted the fact they'd have to do it forever. When the time was right, she told me that she thought I might die from my condition when I first… came to the hospital. I find Dr. Kodali to be inspiring, completely knowledgeable, truthful, ethical and highly competent. She has a very calming way about her and a pleasant sense of humor. She would make follow-up calls to me at home to make sure I was feeling OK after coming off dialysis. I would highly recommend her to everyone I care about. I would recommend her to be the United States Surgeon General if I could. I think Dr. Kodali should see Hillary Clinton in order diagnose what's wrong with her! Very seriously, anyone should see Dr. Kodali and she'll always point you in the right direction for good health. I will see her and take her advice for the rest of my life and I'm only 62 years old.

I took my mother to see Dr. Kodali. It was a horrific waste of time. Dr. Kodali was extremely late and her office staff was rude! She hardly spent anytime with us and all she cared about was what insurance we have. She is an uncaring person and it is shameful she is in the medical profession!!
