Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:I previously worked in Chambersburg Hospital's Critical Care Unit for 13 years and wanted to continue working as a nurse. I decided to become a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner for primary care because I like the contact with the patients.What I want my patients to know about me:I'm originally from Shippensburg and I liked the idea of staying here to serve community members. I love knowing that I'm helping people from the community stay healthy and making a difference in peoples' lives. I'm one of eight children and it's hard to find someone who doesn't know a member of my family. I'm hoping that familiarity will give patients comfort when I'm caring for them.What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I have two children, two dogs, and am getting married in June so, spending time with family is important to me. I also like to read when I have time.
