Dr. Pamela Cuene Baeten, MD

Saw her 1 year ago- left crying. My oncologist recently told me that I should see an endocrinologist for an issue. I said I had such a terrible experience with an endocrinologist, I didn't want to go through it, and be made to feel crazy for seeking help (Dr Baeten 'I don't even understand why you are here'). He assured me that the Dr I will be seeing is a REAL professional.

I find Dr. Pamela Beaten to be an exceptional doctor. I ask a lot of questions and she always takes the time to answer all of them in a way I can understand. She is patient, understanding, and professional. I believe the best healthcare is achieved when a doctor and patient work as a team. I appreciate the care I am receiving from Dr. Baeten and highly recommend her as an endocrinologist.

She took over my thyroid problem from a retiring doctor. Her office does not use MY Chart, so nothing is digital. Her office manager is horrible. Dr Baeten kept me on medications for years that I should have been taken off of. Now my body is addicted to them and I have no choice but to take them for the rest of my life. She never ran any tests in the 10 years she saw me, nor did she ever examine me physically, during office visits except to look in my mouth and ears. Only did blood work that looked at 3 items and not a broad spectrum tests. I was highly mistreated as a patient. I now have a new and much better Endorinologist who has done extensive testing on me.

Awful follow-up. Have tried to contact 3 times for lab results and NO response.

After introducing herself, which was polite the rest of the appointment felt like a grill session, she immediately told me that my symptoms didn't make sense, when she would ask me specific questions she would get impatient when I couldn't come up with the answer immediately or didn't know how to answer, she asked if I thought it was a hormone problem, (isn't that what she's supposed to figure out!) later on in the discussion she asked if I felt depressed and then suggested I see someone. After listing the tests I should have, I asked if it was even worth the effort to get them done, she said her gut and experience tell her that they will all come back as negative, so it was up to me. So I left the appointment pretty upset feeling hopeless and like she really didn't care about me as a patient or had any desire to help. She did explain everything very thoroughly, almost like she was teaching med students, and not a inexperienced patient.

Dr. Baeten is more than great but I can't complain enough about her staff and their reliability. Half the time when you walk in there is no receptionist at the desk and you have to wait. The nurses are older and have told me they will send my prescriptions in to my pharmacy but they never do. Every time I call I get an answering machine which is more than frustrating. They never get back to emails or voicemail. On average I have to call 3-5 times before I get any person or a valid answer to my question, that's scary. I have heard similar complaints from other patients. Twice the receptionist has written my appointment time down wrong on the card they give you and their staff admitted it. I wouldn't go here unless you have to. Poor customer service overall!

Please take your business else where. Every time I have to deal with this office, I leave frustrated and in tears. The office wouldn't return my distress phone calls for days and it would take weeks to see me. After waiting weeks for an appointment I showed up and they told me they rescheduled over a month ago and they didn't bother to tell me. I don't want anyone to have to go through what I went through with this office.

Questioned hormones and was told by her we are not going to do a doctor oz approach and that she did not have time for this! Left there with knowing no more than before I came and with a hefty bill for nothing!

not at all compassionate or understanding, critical of anything i said, left the office in tears. not to mention it took 6 weeks to get me in.

had previous problems requiring me to see her and then developed a new issue - diagnosis for a more rare disorder was prompt.
