Dr. Pamela Walton Barnett, MD

This gracious lady is by far the best psychiatry doctor on the gulf coast. She is 24/7 with you once you are her patient and she knows her meds. No one kinder than Dr. Barnett.

She is very concerned about my care. Overall 100 out of 100.

Black American Female 51 years old, Dr. Barnett patient for about 15 years now. I believe that Spirit assigned many Angels to lead humans to their highest potential. Some of these Angels, to fulfill their specific assignment, had to be born in human form. Being a Incarnated Angel does not indicate perfection. Dr. Barnett seems to strive to do the best that she can.

Saved my life

I was a patient of Dr. Hannak in 2005-2006. At the time I saw her she did not have an office staff. She used her voice mail to set appointments --- it is my hope that she had changed this practice. Upon several occasions her voice mail box was full. There were several instances when she did not get messages, and this caused problems especially regarding cancelations. I think her approach to non office staff was unprofessional and unsafe ---- it also felt creepy to me. Her treatment style is extremely detached. I understand that doctors have to use some level of detachment, but hers seemed excessive. Overall, I was not happy with her, and I stopped seeing her. I would not recommend her to a friend.

I've never had to wait 1 minute past my appointment time to see her. She's since married, and changed her name to Barnett, and has moved to the old LeClede Hotel building downtown. I've seen many psychiatrists in my 21 years of diagnosis, but she's been the most caring, includes my input in my treatment, and treats me like a person. She's the VERY BEST psychiatrist Mobile has!
