Dr. Pamela Marcena Burton, MD

We went in for a new patient appointment and were shocked by Dr. Burton’s unprofessionalism, aggression and lack of empathy. Poor bedside manner doesn’t even do it justice - her behavior was an outright character flaw. She was extremely defensive when it came to any question we asked and was aggressive with our 3 year old who was hysterically crying and did not want her to touch him. When I asked her to stop she acted as if I was being ridiculous and said that “she does this all of the time” and that by asking her to respect our child’s wishes we were “breaching the parent/pediatrician relationship”. When I explained to her that I wasn’t comfortable forcing my child to allow her to touch him and I always respect his right to say no to unwanted touch she became defensive and aggressive. She was also rough with our 5 month old and didn’t take the time to explain anything she was doing or communicate what she was looking for. On top of her incredibly poor behavior, the office is dirty,… outdated and poorly run. I would highly advise anyone looking for a pediatrician that will have the best interest of their child in mind to look elsewhere. I was completely shaken by the experience and hope that another family does not have to go through that. Dr. Burton should without a doubt not be working with children - she has no empathy for their psychological well-being and completely oversteps parental boundaries.

This was my child's doctor for 15 yrs and she abruptly refused to refill a prescription my child had been taking for 3 yrs. No explanation but gave me a letter stating we could no longer be seen by their practice due to my non-compliance. She is a coward who didn't want to explain the reason to me!

Good in office. Can not get a call back when using their after hours phone.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST DOCTOR! I HAVE USED DR. BURTON FOR 18 YEARS FOR MY CHILDREN. MY OLDEST DOES NOT WANT TO HAVE TO START GOING TO A GROWN-UP DOCTOR!! IT IS SO EASY TO HAVE TO TAKE YOUR KIDS TO THE DOCTOR WHEN THEY LOVE HER! CANT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT HER GENUINE CONCERN AND CARE FOR MY CHILDREN

I could not be happier with Dr. Burton. She is an excellent doctor!

My daughter is almost 9 years old and we have used Dr. Burton since my child's birth. We never have to wait longer than 10 minutes (usually less) to be called back and she is just wonderful. I would recommend this doctor to my friends or anyone else.
