Dr. Pamela Beltran Cornelius, MD

Dr. Pamela Cornelius is professional, kind, caring, and extremely thorough in her exams. I’ve never been to a dermatologist who performed a more detailed exam. I look forward to seeing her genuine smile every six months. She’s in a league of her own.

For the last couple of years she has begun limiting the problem she would address to one thing per office visit. She gives the reason that my insurance won't cover more. But I called my insurance. They will cover as many things as the doctor says is medically necessary. There is no limit. Perhaps there is an office policy to get patients in and out or perhaps it the doctor herself making this policy. I have gone to her for years. She did not used to do this. She is an excellent doctor but I felt she was not being straightforward with me.

Would definitely recommend seeing Dr Cornelius. She has always been very pleasant and professional.

Even though my wife and I are patients, she had "no time" to also see our daughter! Said she was too busy.

The administrative performance of the Williamsburg office leaves a lot to be desired: (1) Misspellings in notices posted at reception, while a minor issue, reflect poorly on the practice; (2) On every other visit of mine (not an exaggeration), a patient (I don't know of which doctor/s) has been told he does not appear on the schedule -- and office staff has never handled the situation well (not a word of apology, for one). Patients: it's obviously *essential* to confirm your app'ts well in advance! BUT ... Please note: I have received very good care from Dr. Cornelius herself. She always seems pressed for time, but it's incumbent upon the patient to reset the tempo of the exam -- once you do that, everything's lovely. Follow-up has never been a problem, including phone conversations with nursing staff. In spite of the sketchy way the office is run and the length of time one must allow for a visit, I would not hesitate to recommend this physician.

Office staff and doctor had horrible attitude. I spend enough time in Drs offices... don't need to be treated badly. Will never return to this office.
