Dr. Pamela M Ephgrave, MD

I have always wanted to write to Dr. Ephgrave to tell her how well my life has been considering how horrible she treated me being an unmarried, single mom expecting. She knew nothing about my situation or me for that matter. I had to switch from my family doctor because of a high risk pregnancy or I would have stopped going to her. She was condescending during visits. The delivery was horrible... used forceps, did an episiotomy, refused to listen when I told her the epidermal was not working. I basically delivered my daughter naturally after almost 18 hours of labor only to be told at my post-birth appointment that I need to be thinking of birth control so a mistake like this doesn't happen again. I would like her to know, that I (and the mistake in her eyes) found a wonder man and father. I have been happily married for over 18 years, have two wonderful children, and have a masters degree in education. I did not let insinuations about my character and situation hold me back. … However, it has always bothered me after all these years how anyone could be such a horrible human being yet become and a doctor.

I am so very disappointed in the care I received from Dr. Ephgrave. She has absolutely no bedside manner, was extremely condescending, did not speak at all before she began an internal exam, and took no time to answer my questions. I will definitely not be back.

Dr. Ephgrave has delivered all five of my children, and all of my sister's children. She is an amazing doctor and knows what she is doing. She always looks out for the welfare of the mother and baby. I would recommend her to anyone! Her nurses are great too!!!
