Dr. Pamela W Hoyt, MD

She does not seem to be a good listener at all and she comes across as very condescending. She says "Uh-huh?" ALL the time and it can be so frustrating. I do not think she gathers enough information before being so willing to write a prescription for medications.

Please note that this is regarding my experience with Pamela W Hoyt, MD at Riverside Community Care in NORWOOD, MA, not Westborough.Dr Hoyt can be personable and professional, but also has a tendency to be acerbic and sanctimonious. For example, there were a couple of times when *I* missed an appointment or showed up late. Dr Hoyt has a right to 'take issue' with that, but she lectures me, a forty-something college graduate, as if I were a five-year old. There have also been a couple of times I have showed up when *she has scheduled me* and *it is noted, in her handwriting, on the card* when she has said, in her hoity-toity voice, "I'm not seeing you today!" One time, I believe it was supposed to be Wednesday the 26th, I came in and Dr Hoyt said, "I don't see patients at that time on Wednesdays!" When I pointed out the card, with Wednesday the 26th clearly stated in her handwriting and the receptionist noted that I was scheduled to see her (Dr Hoyt) on Wednesday the 26th at that… time, do you think Dr Hoyt would apologize? Nooooooo. All she said, again, in a voice more condescending than a kindergarten teacher to a poorly-behaved student, is that "I never see patients at that time on Wednesdays and you should know that!" and then walked away. The receptionist apologized on Dr Hoyt's behalf.On a related tangent, the lobby of Riverside Community Care in Norwood always has what can best be described as a "rank and musty" odor.
