Dr. Pamela Lyn Kunz, MD

Dr Kunz seems too busy with other things & too self-involved to have time for patient care. I was very disappointed that she could not take time to see a 15 year neuroendocrine survivor who needed a consult on next-step treatment for persistent disease progression.

How does one get an appointment with Dr Kunz? Seriously. For me, Dr Kunz has always been either absent or unavailable. Now that she is finally back from an unexplained year of sabbatical, she has rejected a referral from my long time Stanford dr who has significant pull. I have been a Stanford neuroendocrine patient for more than 10 years, traveling across country for help with a rare disease. Even with recent progression & in need of a change in treatment, Dr Kunz and her assistant determined that I remain a patient of a non-neuroendocrine oncologist since I needed to meet with someone while she was ON SABBATICAL. This is ridiculous since she is THE neuroendocrine oncology specialist. It definitely sends a message that it is time for me to seek help elsewhere.

Says the immune sytem has absolutely nothing to do with fighting cancer, over radiates patients with ct scans and answers questions regarding treatment with you only have a few years to live anyway. I'm not usually one to kiss and tell, but what kind of oncologist does this?

Dr. Kunz is one of the few experts on my condition.She keeps abreast of the latest developments and is extremely personable

Very much inexperienced doctor. Delay in patient treatment, over-dosage, and poor diagnoses.

Excellent oncologist. Seems to really care about her patients, and goes that extra mile. Takes the extra time to explain things to patients and family members. Returns phone calls promptly.
