Dr. Pamela Lynn Lewis, MD

I recently moved to Connecticut 3 years ago and had no idea which direction to go for a doctor. Wish I had read the reviews on Dr. Lewis sooner. The first time I met her I was just going in for my annual and to make sure my previous issues were no longer there. At first she seemed very personable and interested in what I had to say. I'd say the first visit went very well. Now, the 2nd annual went quite differently. I had been waiting for some time in the robe on the table before she came into the room. Not only was I waiting for a long time but she decided that WITHOUT my permission she would invite an intern in with her. During the entire exam she didn't direct her attention to me at all. She spoke at me but was constantly looking at the intern like this was a class??? I was very disturbed at this point and just wanted to leave. 3rd visit didn't seem any better. At this point, shame on me for not switching doctors. This time she did actually ask me if it was okay to… have someone sit in the room to learn. I said yes, because I honestly don't mind allowing it, just ask me first? SHE LET THE INTERN PUT THE SPECULUM IN AND SHE PUT IT IN WRONG THREE TIMES. I was under the impression that this girl was just going to OBSERVE. At the end of the visit I was practically in tears because of how uncomfortable it was. A little history just so you all know: 'Diagnosed' Endometriosis and told me less periods with help with fertility if I ever want to have kids. So, she put me on a new birth control called Taytulla because my last BC was giving me super heavy periods so she gave me some free packs to see how they worked with me. THEY'RE HORRIBLE, not by her fault, but this isn't the BC for me. So I called today to see if she could talk to me about another option. Her first suggestion was to go back on the first BC that made me bleed out practically. I said no....because that one made my periods unbearable. Guess she forgot? So instead of even listening to my concerns on the phone or explaining WHY I wanted to switch at all (which she very clearly had not cared about) she just kept asking me if i wanted new BC then finally settled on one but told me it was gonna be expensive. No explaining WHY I should try this new one, or why the last one didn't work, nothing. I said yes fill the new scrip please, she said okay and hung up (literally). I know Doctors are busy, I work with them too, but give your patients the time of day if they're having problems and depend on you to help them. DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR - SHE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU.

Wrong diagnosis gave me a total hysterectomy. Cecasuse she said i had std. She was looking at a cyst. Thats all i had. She removed all my organs. Shes a lier. Run. Run. After surgery she said. It was only a cyst.

I've been with Dr. Lewis for almost 20 years and she is fabulous! Super personable and knowledgeable.

I became a patient of Dr. Lewis a few months ago, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She took the time to chat with me in her office before I had my check-up, and was extremely personable. I felt completely comfortable with her, and she is clearly very thorough, knowledgeable, and looking out for her patients' best interests. It's so nice to have found a doctor that takes the time to get to know their patients and has such a wonderful personal touch. I'm so pleased to have found such a great doctor!

Very long wait time. Once the doctor sees you she dismisses your concerns. Unfriendly staff and nurses. Follow up with medication or other services was also very difficult to reach.
