Dr. Pamela Ann Penner, MD

I initially liked Dr. Penner's office. Staff seemed nice and seemed to care about my kids and me. However, after I took one of my kids to a pediatrician to try it out and then decided to bring him back to Summit (Dr. Penner's office) because I liked Summit better, I was told that their policy is to never allow a patient back into their practice if that patient ever tries to go to another provider. I felt shocked and betrayed. I have never been to a provider with such an unkind and unforgiving policy. I tried to ask them to make an exception, since the rest of my family was going to Summit; I also explained that I held nothing against Dr. Penner and had only wanted to try out another provider, but was informed that Dr. Penner will not make exceptions to her rule. This policy should either be discarded or the public should know about this policy before receiving care from Dr. Penner's office so that they're not blindsided by it like I was. We were not notified that this policy existed… prior to receiving services. I have always thought that patients have a right to try seeing different providers and then choose a provider who is a good fit for them, without fear of retaliation from any provider.

Pill pusher and does not diagnose issues correctly. Do not go to this doctor. Worries about "dings" from insurance companies

Was my PCP, misdiagnosed sinus infection until it blinded me. Got return appointment, was 15 minutes late due to running off road to avoid accident, got there with eyes swollen together and was turned away. Went to Urgent Care, paid extra, got antibiotics and referral to eye specialist for eye inflaimation. I live alone so had to drive across town and there were no other patients waiting. Inhumane but sent me to a real PCP. Of course I never returned there.

I travel over and hour because she and her staff are the greatest..If it wasnt for her I would have died 5 years ago Thanks Pamela Penner

Penner made incorrect diagnosis and wuould not admit it. More interested in pushing useless medicine

This doctor did not listen to questions and wound giving medicines that were not needed. This has been done twice. She comes across as having the right answer and the patient is stupid. After checking on. After checking m y meds, I discovered that she gave me something that created another issue. She loves to persribe meds. Check your patient info on what she puts in it. Agree with other review, hated to even give one star. She is AMAZING!!!!!

I have been a patient of Summit Family Medicine for 3.5 yrs. I have moved practically all my medical requirements to Dr. Penner (i.e. annual checkups, illness, specialist referrals, etc.) having received exemplary care on every visit. Dr. Penner utilizes patient/dr. time to the benefit of the patient and I find she listens to my concerns while providing extraordinary medical care. The dr.'s staff, from the receptionist to the nurse(s), are all professionals providing outstanding customer service and always in a friendly manner.

I've never experienced a more caring practice. She has been my doctor for years for all my medical needs. From yearly physicals, to mole removal and biopsy.She saved my husbands life with cancer for her great follow-up skills.She is perfect for the elderly as their meds have to be followed very carefully.My 88 year old grandmother is the perfect example of that care.If you are looking for a doctor where you don't get lost in the system. And like easy access to any medical questions. You have found the right place.

We actually just switched to a new doctor. I have been given some misinformation more than once that could have been bad had I not known better (regarding medications) and while trying to figure out some issues with one of my children I found my thoughts and opinions were falling on deaf ears. She saw my children for 5 minutes, while I am with them 24/7, but still she wouldn't listen to my thoughts and concerns. As soon as I would start talking, she would put a smile on her face and start shaking her head, before she had even heard what I had to say. I can't take my kids to a doctor who I second guess every time we go.
