Dr. Pamela Marie Simmons, DO

Dr. Simmons is a gift to Baton Rouge! She has the unique ability to connect with her patients & instantly they feel comfortable. I have learned several of my friends have been patients of hers & every one has felt the same way. The time she takes to explain every aspect of treatment is one thing that stood out for me. It’s hard not to blame yourself when diagnosed with gestational diabetes the 1st time & a little harder the 2nd time especially knowing you can’t control it. She helped me understand what was actually happening verses “take this it will help”. In one of our last visits I asked if she would come & hold a baby after I delivered. Knowing she had a busy schedule along with other MFM patients, I really didn’t think she would be able to make it. Well, she did come to meet her little patient.
