Dr. Pamela Oaks Sykes, MD

We have had an ongoing diagnoses and keep geting the same nurse pract. she keeps prescibing back to back antobiotics and has completely fried my child's little body. Dr. Sykes is great but because of this n.p. we must find another Dr.

I think Dr. Sykes was okay, nothing out of the ordinary. Se could have been more personal in my opinion. I really dislike and I would not be back due to the bad service that I received from her staff. They were all very cold and unfriendly. Her front desk schedule my 2 month appointment wrong and when I corrected her she got upset and didn't seem to care. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Dr. Sykes is a very nice doctor. I am just not impressed with the office at all. I've had 3 appointments with them and I've waited 2+ hours waiting to see the doctor and my time with her is about 10-15 minutes. When my son needed to get his shots, we saw the doctor for 5 minutes and waited another 30 just for the nurse to come in and give the shots. There have been times when I think they forgot about me because people that came after me have already left. If they really are that busy then they shouldn't be scheduling that many appointments. And don't get me started on the front desk. I find them to be rude and unhelpful and cold. They never smile or say hi and sometimes they don't even look at you when you walk in.

When going to see Dr. Sykes, be warned there's a good chance you'll see one of the nurses on staff instead. I made my appointment for my son 3 months in advance and still didn't get to see the doctor. Also, take something to do for you and your little one as well as some food for them. Once you sign in at the front, even if you have an appointment, be prepared to wait 30-60 minutes in the waiting room and an additional 30-60 minutes once you get to your room. It's actually just as quick to go to the county health department. I will be seeking out a different doctor soon.

I was told that walk ins were welcome and I waited a verrrry long time even after I was put in a observation room. The assistant that took my baby's vitals was horrible she did not touch him once,she was not friendly at all! she didnt run test told me he had strep and ordered a penicillen shot, stated no prescriptions, right!!! nothing for pain my son was lying there obviously sick as heck and had a temp.she didnt even offer a tylenol.I wanted to mention the doctor still has not introduced her self and she has capri's pants on and a short sleeve shirt on no white coat only her pc tablet in hand.The nurse that gave the penicillen shot was like a bad dream she came into the room told me to remove his pants and she then pulled him to the end of the table granted she never intoduced her self and said nothing to my son.She continued and stuck him in the leg with a needle that was from the 1800's..then left the room. Their were 2 receiptionist one was very quiet and didt even give me a… history sheet they only ask if he was allergic to any thing. My son is asthmatic .The other rude loud receptionist needs some people skills she never made eye contact. Never, I mean never will I ever make this mistake again. Horriibblle. So I was sent home with a sick baby with strep that was given a shot and told to go home . This place is a joke

Appointments are tough to get. They do have walk-in appointments, which can be nice for someone needing same day care. But, I warn you, it is like standing in line for your box of government cheese. You could be there forever while everyone elses kids are coughing and blowing snot all over you. The customer service up front is just as bad. If you ever endured a visit to your local DMV, it's about the same. Once you get in, the doctor and nurses are nice and helpful. But, after all this is the way the U.S. healthcare system is.

The clinic was very helpful. My child requires special needs and Dr. Sykes was referred to us by our specialist. She was very professional and spent more time with us than any physician that we have ever visited.

Beware!! I am the type that does not comment unless the service is exceptional or horrible. Dr. Sykes would be on the horrible side. Flighty and unprofessional...the clinic itself is filthy and more than likely your child will come out with more than he/she went in with.
