Dr. Pamela Ann Tarkington, MD

I found Dr Tarkington to be a thorough, dedicated and compassionate professional. The FAA requires that the pilots blood pressure must be measured systolic (higher number) blood pressure below 155 or a diastolic (lower number) pressure below 95. Dr Tarkington's initially measured my blood pressure at 140/99. After waiting 10 minutes and talking to me about comforting subjects my blood pressure was measured again. This measurement was well within the FAA guidelines. White coat syndrome is a phenomenon in which people exhibit a blood pressure level above the normal range, in a clinical setting, though they do not exhibit it in other settings.

I was once a patient of Tarkington She is one of the most rudest two face and a crook doctors I have ever met I used to get prescribed Percocet and Ativan from her for 3 months the pharmacy at Wegmans ended up shorting me of my Ativan pills so I called the pharmacist to complain of course they ended up calling me a lier and called Tarkington and told her she ended up telling my mom that I was a lier and starting screaming at my mother about me and at that time I did not give her permission to talk to my mom she broke the hippa law I guess by what my mom said she told her because she didn’t want to tell me which is not right the reason why I call her a crook or scam is because she had her nurse prescribe all of my medications including the narcotic medications the nurse would forge the doctors signature and I knew the doctor knew about this because she would tell barb to fill out all of her scripts so when they cut me off all of my medications I called the health department and told… them about this I’m not sure what happened but from reading the reviews I can see barb the nurse don’t work there I’m so so surprised this doctor didn’t lose her medical license for allowing her nurse to forge her signature and the nurse barb was in no which way was a nurse Practitioner or physician Assistant she was a regular nurse she when that whole thing happened she ended up calling Rochester general and put something that’s not true in my medical chart and it’s still in there to this day my name is Michael DeFiore in case this is Dr Tarkington

Reading older reviews i understand peoples attitude. Truth is Pamela Tarkington is wonderful, and the old staff - Barb, etc are no longer there. Much better than of group office!

The new office staff is delightful and the use of more technology has helped. The physician is brilliant and also very passionate about patient care.

I love the new receptionist.. They are very friendly and prompt.. The doctor is always very inquisitive & caring.

I love going to see Dr. Tarkington! It is always a wonderful experience!

Rude staff , outdated eguipment, unsanitary, office smelled of cigarette smoke, pretty sure I also smelled alcohol on her breath

This was the word experience I've ever had !! She makes you wait 45min before being called ... Very long wait times also her secretary barb is very cold you won't receive any smiles here ! Also the doctor is very ride it's either her way or you can leave ...! She's very Nast if you mention your wait time and will quickly inform you that she's a doctor ! And there's nothing you can do .. She will also hold your medical records forever taking forever to release them just to be spiteful , I personally feel she's a substance abuser due to the irrational way she acts as well as handle patients you can clearly tell its all about the money and nothing more I wouldn't recommend her to my worst enemy !! She is a terrible physician !! Don't go here her office is old smells of smoke and she still uses the paper billing and records system she stuck in the 70's only good thing I have to say is the parking was decent anyway hope I could be of assistance

This was a first time visit with this doctor and a follow up was made after this appointment which was just as good as the first visit. My husband also goes to Dr. Tarkington and is very satisfied as well. I felt she was thorough in her questioning of me being a new patient and very thorough in answering my questions. And she did not make me feel rushed at all. I feel she is very good.

Office understaffed. A lot falls through the cracks. Office staff never smiles, at best she is curt and icy.Office is not handicap accessible and smells of old smoke because staff smokes.
