Dr. Panagiotis Antonios Manolas

Too busy?

I am lucky Dr. Panagiotis Manolas, did my lumpectomy. He is a very compassionate doctor with good manners and empathy in his voice. Made me feel secure and in every aspect acted with all his knowledge to order the proper testing to attack the tumor. From the day he examined me took four days to operate and his medical office dealt successfully with my insurance to prepare everything. Since this is a process i am thankful this professional is on my side!

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Manolas, I was referred to see him by my PCP and took a half day from work to see him for a consult. My appointment was at 1:30PM and I arrived at 1PM to make sure I finished any paperwork that may have needed to be done. I waited for 3 hours extremely patiently until I had had enough and asked one of the employees behind the desk when it would be my turn, which he responded I was actually next on the list, and I contently took a seat. Low and behold the next person called was not me, another doctor working with Dr. Manolas in his Bayside location called someone else on the list after me, when I asked the employee I had previously spoken to why someone was taken before me when they had a much later appointment time, he replied “the other doctor is seeing some of Dr. Manolas’s patients, she’s the boss I can’t do anything about it, I’m sorry they aren’t abiding to protocol”. After this I sat and waited and they finally called me in. The other surgeon… working with Dr. Manolas called me into a room and said she would be examining me. She gave me no reason why and although I have no problems with a female surgeon examining me for inguinal pain I was a little upset that the doctor I was referred to see couldn’t see me. When I asked her how come Dr. Manolas couldn’t see me she said he was busy with another patient. So I left without being examined, I didn’t speak to anyone, I simply said I would rather not be examined since the person I was referred to see was too busy for me. I called my PCP (who is a great physician) and spoke to the office to inform them of the events. Later that night I get a call from my PCP’s office and they said “oh Dr. Manolas’s office called us and they said it was a misunderstanding the other doctor was just prepping you to see him.” This was a blatant lie as I’ve never heard of another doctor prepping a patient for another, and I had been told otherwise while at the office and seen Dr. Manolas in his office with someone else. I decided not to return to his office and will not return. Two weeks later today, I get a call from his office saying that he was unable to see me that day because he was away on an emergency (another lie) and asked if I could go see him as soon as possible that he would make time for me, I declined. Keeping in mind all the effort and care I put into seeing my patients on time, and providing the best care and service I can for them, I cannot imagine running a business and giving people such a terrible experience as this one. I hope this helps someone out there avoid this same scenario. You can be the best physician, surgeon, Physio, etc. it doesn’t matter if your patients end up feeling the way I felt from this ordeal.

This doctor actually cares about his patients. I recently had surgery breast surgery which was nerve wracking to begin with. He made me feel confident that I was gonna be ok. Along with his staff he made it super easy. He has empathy for his patients and he loves being a doctor. He as the best bed side manner. I highly recommend Dr Manolas. He’s the Best!!!

I was referred to Dr. Manolas by my SO’s best friend, after noticing a bloody discharge from my right breast. The wait time was slightly longer than anticipated, but the wait was worth it. Dr. Manolas was gentle, caring and thorough in both my physical examination and the test he ordered for me at Lenox Hill Hospital. He treats me and my SO like a family member and I am so grateful to him for his incredibly warm bedside manner and thoroughness. Depending on the results of my tests, he may be performing surgery soon... I have no doubt that I’m in great hands if that ends up being the case!

When I was diagnosed with cancer, I was referred to Dr. Manolas by my brother. Dr. Manolas guided me from the beginning, from making sense of my case to the end of my surgical treatment. Every step of the way, himself and everyone in his organization treated me with utmost professionalism, respect, responsibility and compassion. I would recommend Dr. Manolas and his practice without hesitation.

r. Manolas is one of the caring and kind physician I have met. He is very knowledgeable and very caring. He spent time with me answering any questions and concerns I had regarding my condition. I would definitely recommend him to friends and family.

Dr. Panagootis A Manolas was excellent as a doctor, very helpful and he cares a lot for his patients!!! He has respect for his patients, he is there whenever you need him and his first priority is always the health!!! Thank you doctor for all your help!!
